Your LG LCG3011ST gas cooktop has a safety and design flaw. The plastic inserts that LG uses on the control knobs is a safety and fire hazard. The plastic inserts crack and break apart. After they crack and break a user has no idea what position the gas valve is. This is a safety and fire hazard. Scratches easily; grates can't come clean
While I love the gas cooking, I am very disappointed with the exterior quality. 1) The plastic knobs scratch easily, and one is stuck on and we can't remove it. 2) The black stainless steel surface scratches VERY easily, even in the bottom part of the tray where no pots or utensils are used. It is especially bad around the edges. We've only had this stovetop for 2-3 years, and it looks at least 10 tears old. 3)The cast iron grates are impossible to clean, even after putting in the dishwasher. ...

So far I have avoided an accident. Our latest issue is with the control knobs. The inside of one has broken & is difficult to find on LG's site. Good luck!

Knobs always breaking
We remodeled our kitchen 2 years ago and replaced all appliances with LG. I had been extremely happy until 2 months ago when one control knob cracked on the Stainless cooktop. They are ridiculously expensive to replace, but I wanted the cooktop to look nice not cruddy with knobs missing, so I purchased it. Excellent Cooktop

Cooktop with a great layout!
We are enjoying our new LG gas cooktop. It is a 5-burner unit with controls centered in front. This allows plenty of space for the burners and easy access to the controls. The cooktop is quite shallow and we were able to put in an additiona drawer below it (for flat utensils). The burners light quickly and burn smoothly and efficiently.

Knobs and grates are poor quality.
I bought this when I redid my kitchen and bought a very expensive LG cook top thinking that I would get a well made product. However, the knobs are cheap plastic that keep breaking, all printing on knobs and surface of stove are wearing out and the two outside grates have warped so my pots don't sit flat. It is 6 years old.
