3 Issues in the first 4 1/2 years

Downgrade from similar older models/good not great

This replaced a 10 year old LG that was similar which had probems with its icemaker, lighting, and door seal. We liked the style of LG and would have liked to get the same model and design as our older model but LG has updated the product link so it is not available. DO NOT PURCHASE

I would not recommend this LG refrigerator to anyone. The ice makers alone make it a poor purchase. The ice maker tied to the water dispenser has essentially been unusable from the start because it leaks. We stopped using it entirely because of the constant mess. The second ice maker in the bottom freezer is just as bad. Instead of making usable ice, it regularly turns into a solid mound of frozen ice that has to be chipped out. I like the color of the stainless steel that is slightly darker because of the fingerprint proof finish. Inside has adequate lighting, bottom shelf is solid and non adjustable . Upper 2 tiers of shelves are adjustable, each tier has 2 half width shelves that can remain locked together, or adjust to duit your frig items. Fridge is good but the include water filter is bad

Got this during the more recent black Friday sale for $1799, which was hard to pass considering the price now is near $2500. Honestly everything works great great. The only thing I really dislike was the included water filter. I'm one of those highly sensitive taste people and the water tasted like it I was drink water from a plastic water bottle that has been sitting in the trunk of your car all summer. Horrible Experience

We loved the space and the look of this fridge but has recently been a nightmare. Started with weird high pitched noises then progressed to loud noises that sounded like a cross between a washing machine and lawn mower. Errors after the warranty period ends

I bought this fridge, and my mom did as well, and both of us have gotten the IF E error code after the warranty ended. The cause is a failing fan motor in the freezer compartment. Doing searches online show this is a common failure of LG fridges.

First time purchasing LG, I hope it lasts!

Refrigerator has a good layout, and the water dispenser is a great design. This one allows you to see where the water comes out of the tube, and is recessed slightly so you aren't spilling water all over the floor. The ice maker in the door needs to be used frequently or the ice forms into a single block that must be broken up.
