This french door unit is 5 yesrs old. It was great for 5 years. In door ice maker started freezing up a few months ago. Had to turn it off. 2 months later, the refrigerator stated warming up slightly. Then we got codes for the freezer fan motor. Ive owned a lot of refrigerators, but this is the first one that I've had a problem with this early. I'm questioning my choice. Your service network is questionable at best. Less than impressed

It hasn't been 5 years and the refrigerator has went out on me twice within six months requiring the compressor to need replacement each time.

I made a Mistake

Hi, I replaced a fridge in one of my rental houses and it only lasted 4.5 years. I thought it was an LG, but it turns out I was looking at the wrong file and it was a different brand. A brand that starts with the letter W. I posted a not so good review by mistake under the title Didn't last that long.

Never buying again

Horrible. Had it 3 years and it broke down twice. The second time ya'll refused to fix it

3 Issues in the first 4 1/2 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my appliance for about 4 1/2 years. By around year 2, they already had to come out twice. One for peeling finish on the refrigerator and one for the same issue with the dishwasher. Recently they came out (after warranty ) as the refrigerator and freezer failed. Good layout, not long lasting

I liked the layout of the fridge! On year 4 and it's noisy and cooling isn't stable. The fan quite after getting really noisy. Wish they made products to last longer then a few years.

Downgrade from similar older models/good not great

This replaced a 10 year old LG that was similar which had probems with its icemaker, lighting, and door seal. We liked the style of LG and would have liked to get the same model and design as our older model but LG has updated the product link so it is not available. I like the color of the stainless steel that is slightly darker because of the fingerprint proof finish. Inside has adequate lighting, bottom shelf is solid and non adjustable . Upper 2 tiers of shelves are adjustable, each tier has 2 half width shelves that can remain locked together, or adjust to duit your frig items. DO NOT PURCHASE

I would not recommend this LG refrigerator to anyone. The ice makers alone make it a poor purchase. The ice maker tied to the water dispenser has essentially been unusable from the start because it leaks. We stopped using it entirely because of the constant mess. The second ice maker in the bottom freezer is just as bad. Instead of making usable ice, it regularly turns into a solid mound of frozen ice that has to be chipped out.
