Great Cooling, consistent performance except icema

This has been a great refrigerator keeping food cold, and dispensing cold water. The in door icemaker worked great for a couple years but suddenly quit. Working with support they decided to blame low city water pressure as to why it won’t work anymore. Nothing has changed that I know of. The cost of a new icemaker is outrageous so we’ll be living with ice trays like the old days!

Ice maker is the worst. Would give negative review

Ice maker makes a terrible amount of ice. For a family of three, we can fill about 3 cups halfway and it makes no further ice for the day. Can let it sit for more than 10 hours and it doesn’t fill up more than a third of the way. Don’t buy unless you want to haul ice from store or buy a separate ice maker. Would not buy another LG product. LG’s recommendation’s on website do not help.

Don't Buy this Fridge

Just after one year of purchase the water dispenser starting dispensing water without being touched. After four years the refrigerator completely stopped cooling. The lights come on but it doesn't cool.

Awesome pick, love the LED lights

We love the inside LED lights and the perfect height to view everything! Plenty of shelves for storage. The stainless steel is beautiful and the hidden pulling hand door openers makes this perfect for smoother look! This doesn't have drip catching pan for the water, ice dispenser so some folks maybe prefer one. But I believe it will be ok with my home. Get you one and enjoy it too!

Worst refrigerator/freezer we have ever owned.

First the simple annoyance items which others have listed, the shelves are not adjustable, the only way to open the drawers is on the bottom of them, this is very difficult for us older customers, the icemaker is extremely loud and makes strange sounds to the point that we need to turn the tv up so we can hear it, and the door alarms are VERY loud and annoying, we have not found a way to turn them off. Ice maker is not the best...small amount

We have had this refrigerator for a few years. Thought a side by side would be a great choice. The ice maker doesn't produce ice enough for 2 people. The ice maker takes up valuable freezer space as it pushes against items on the shelf. It is a small amount of ice producer and stops working occasionally. I regret going with a small side by side. I miss the double doors fridge, and bottom freezer with a massive ice maker in my old LG. That being said. We love the LG brand.

Pros Outweigh The Cons...I guess

Love it, so far, only 2 days

It was between this LG and the Whirlpool, item 1030901, basically the same price. I asked the sales people and they said the LG was made in Korea, parts hard to get, I even talked to Central in Sanford, they said they did not carry LG's any more because the parts were difficult to get. A nice refrigerator with a few caveats.

This was purchased as a replacement for a 17 year old refrigerator of another brand. I guess a lot has changed in 17 years. It has taken a bit of adjustment which, fortunately includes extra storage space, which we appreciate. The ice maker has a smaller capacity than we are used to, but it is sufficient. Good basic fridge!

Good size for our space, and as a refrigerator meets all our basic requirements. HOWEVER, there was one minor defect in the water dispenser, which LG is going to remedy some time today. It needs a completely new door (left side). A minor defect in how the final piece of piping from the valve to the end of the dispenser has a small leak so it slowly floods the dispenser compartment.
