Burner heads

Please do not buy this cooktop if you want to it to look nice after cooking and cleaning. The burner heads are made of a very cheap material and the silvery finish wears off even if you use the mildest soap. One would think that a company like LG would have put more thought into what kind of material would be durable and ideal for a surface that is exposed to high heat, grease etc. I have had this cooktop for 18 months and have already had to change the burner heads 2-3 times. Love it!

I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. The only thing I noticed is that one of the burners makes a little clicking noise even after ignition. Not sure if this is normal but it does work fine.

Reliable ignition, great gas heat!

Great gas cooktop. Lights easily every time. The relight feature helped keep it burning when a draft put out the flame. The stainless steel base is pretty easy to clean. Buyer should know the gas line is located at the back right side. It sits slightly lower than our last glass top unit. Drawer below it had a tight fit. Lowest point on bottom is center front or middle line. The center boil burner puts out great heat. Locking forward to trying a wok on it soon. Its around 20K btu.

Do Not Buy - Gas Leak

We purchased this product in May. Nice looking cooktop. We never used the burners on the front of the stove due to child safety precautions. Over the past three months there was a buildup of gas leaking from one of the valves in the manifold, and one day caused an explosion that blew our cabinet doors open. We contacted the gas company and one of their technicians discovered where the leak was coming from and told use to stop using it immediately. Not comfortable with using this product so we...

Updated: Lighter keeps turning ON (Resolved)

Update : I contacted LG and they immediately responded with a service technician the next day itself. The connection in the electrical point was reversed and it caused the lighting. Once I fixed it as they recommended, the lighting stopped. I am changing the rating as result of it. I was also very happy with the speedy response from LG. The lighter keeps lighting very 2 secs. Didn’t seem very sturdy

Arrived with damage to the porcelain and a broken grill. How hard do you mishandle the box to break a metal grill. Seemed poorly made for the price but didn’t get to install it.

Great stovetop

The stove works great. The burners heat very well. The grates are very sturdy.

Great cooktop!

Great cooktop! Like the layout of the burners and controls. The 20,000 BTU center burner works well and the ability to turn the burners down to a very low simmer is handy. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that there's no "burner on" indicator light. Other gas cooktops we've had featured them and it was helpful to know, at a glance, whether a burner had inadvertently been left on. That being said, just check the burners and knob positions before leaving the kitchen.
