What Customers Are Saying
The cutting wheel is a versatile tool that can effectively cut through various materials like steel, metal roofing, cast iron pipes, and concrete. Users praised its fast cutting speed, long-lasting performance, and ability to make clean, precise cuts. However, it can generate heat and warping when used on thinner gauge metals, and may not be suitable for softer metals like aluminum. Overall, the cutting wheel is a high-quality tool well-suited for most metal cutting tasks, but users should exercise caution based on the material being cut.

I purchased the MetalMax 4½" blade to cut 26 gage corrugated metal sheets with my angle grinder. I am impressed at how aggressively this wheel cuts, but it has a tendency to bind quickly, dramatically, and dangerously. Upon first discovering this tendency, I was so alarmed that I stopped cutting immediately and installed the full shroud guard on my angle grinder. I'm grateful that I did, because three cuts later the cutting wheel bound while cutting through two clamped sheets of metal and rip...
Traditional discs are better
Don’t bother with the gimic, just get a whole pack of regular discs and save yourself the headache. When compared to traditional discs this one is about 5 times slower cutting and easily twice as loud. Nobody talks about the sound but these discs are much louder. Deafening. This stainless just rubs and squeals on other stainless with a little bit of abrasive around the edge. I will agree that the blade does last, unfortunately. I can’t wait to be done with it. I use my grinder daily, it’s been a...

Great! concrete cutting blade.
It did the job better than any other diamond blade I used. I was breaking up old hard concrete in a basement to install a new shower P-trap. I burned through multiple concrete drill bits as well as other angle grinder blades and they just didn't cut it. I wasted a lot of money on carbide bits. When I switched to this diamond blade it cut right through like butter. It also kept cutting at about the same rate the entire time, through about 7-8 inches of concrete. I'm saving it for my next concrete...

Better than 20 of the others
I've been buying ten packs of the cheap ($10)cutting wheels from the local ghetto tool store(and have been quite happy w/them) but if anything these steel blades take out the 20+ removal of the arbor and wheel replacement exercises we're all too familiar with. It's a fantastic product but I challenge Lowe's and Lenox to drop the price by about 25%. Spending $15 can be a deterrent for a single cutting wheel. Otherwise pleasantly surprised.
Lenox MetalMax Diamond Grit Wheel
I have used the regular cutting wheels for cutting deck screws and bolts that the heads were rounded out, stud bolts, automobile lower ball joint rivets and many other things and like their ability to cut but don't like how fast they wear down or sometimes shatter so I thought I would try these diamond wheels instead and I have to say they work very good. They last fairly long and you don't have to worry about them shattering which is what I really like. They cost a little over 14 dollars each b...

Great and horrible at the same time
I am giving this product 1-star review because by naming it Metal Max the manufacturer is stealing money and time from us. This is great at cutting stainless steel. It will do well with other hard metals. But do not use it for soft metals such as aluminum. It will grind in there forever before making a cut. For aluminum and other soft metals, you will need a toothed carbide blade. Grit blades like this get all clogged up with material because aluminum is so soft

Shelving Renovation
I needed to cut back old shelving for a new storage room in the basement and could not find a wood circular saw blade that fit the grinder. The need for a small circular blade was due to the tight spaces that were to be cut. Possibly for one time use did not want to buy a new tool for the project. After researching the small wood circular saw blades I found a similar style with the Lenox metal circular saw blade that fit the grinder. I understand that it’s made for metal but if it cuts metal it ...

the $0.9wheels are better in the end
Started out wonderful was cutting the black pipe i needed it to cut like butter, my project was and still is making a home forge from a propane tank using black pipe and galvanized pipe t make a burner. Yesterday the wheel showed its true uselessness, destroying my grinder in the process. Wheels cutting ability diminished so much so that it began sticking and stopping my grinding frying the motor in the process. Never had an issue before until the 2ndday withthis waste of money.. I will return t...
