Buy this lock if you like having the wifi connectivity drain the lock from 60% to 0% and getting locked out of the house unless you have the physical key with you. We were out of town for 36 hours and in that time the lock went from a 60% battery life to 0% and was unable to unlock. Ended up having to pay for a new lock and get a locksmith out to drill out the lock. In having the lock for less than a year, the battery died 3 times. Once with absolutely no warning.

Total time to install was 15 minutes Very simple It paired perfectly not one problem If I had to find anything to be negative about it would be the lock speed. It’s 2 seconds slower then my other kwikset electric locks Other than that perfect lock
Internal Failure < 2 months & horribly LOUD
1. Internal mechanism suddenly began to bind internally without any changes to door/door jamb after 2 months of smooth operation. With door open, hard to even turn knob to manually lock, no wonder the noisy inside motor saying it can't do it either. 2. Very noisy mechanism, will wake others up 3. Very happy after year
Have had this lock for over a year now. I use Duracell batteries and only change them 3-4 times a year which is good for me. Keypad touch screen is great as the screen never wears down indicating code being used repeatedly, using the app connectivity works without issue to open the door remotely & works great. My only issue the lock jammin when the user does not fully close door or humidity affects how tight door closes. Over all very happy with the lock use.

Worst quality lock ever
This lock is a complete piece of garbage. It had so many problems and keeps breaking. There were so many issues with this lock. They included: 1 - Batteries died quickly and we had to replace the batteries every two weeks. 2 - The lock wouldn't respond to the app. We would unlock or lock it with the app and 90% of the time it wouldn't respond. Terrible battery life
I have 2 of these locks - one is ok. Works fine and is reliable. Batteries last 3 months. The other one is complete junk. I am lucky if the battery lasts 2 weeks. I am constantly changing the battery and ended up getting locked out of my house and had to call a locksmith because they both died when I was on vacation. That was a nice homecoming! All the software is up to date. I have a WiFi extender for it and that did not help at all. I have given up on it! Very expensive for a manual ...

Very glitchy and runs through batteries like crazy. Bought this lock about a month and a half ago when we moved into our new house. We have used keypad deadbolts at all of our previous houses and loved them. Usually we have to replace the batteries once a year at most. We bought the Kwikset Halo Touchscreen Electronic Deadbolt after an earlier model gave us too many problems. We bought a newer version of the same lock we already had. Installation went well for the most part, but I expected to be able to program the lock from the lock itself, like the last one.
