Worst quality lock ever

This lock is a complete piece of garbage. It had so many problems and keeps breaking. There were so many issues with this lock. They included: 1 - Batteries died quickly and we had to replace the batteries every two weeks. 2 - The lock wouldn't respond to the app. We would unlock or lock it with the app and 90% of the time it wouldn't respond. Halo touchscreen

Just purchased this at Lowes on a Clearance. I've been needing an upgrade from my old keyless lock that I have had for 15+ years. I was hoping this was easy to install and setup on my WIFI network. I am glad to report installation and WIFI setup was incredibly easy. It seems to work as advertised. As with anything time will tell. Very well built. So far so good. One note: this lock is loud. Convenient with some drawbacks

We bought the Kwikset Halo Touchscreen Electronic Deadbolt after an earlier model gave us too many problems. We bought a newer version of the same lock we already had. Installation went well for the most part, but I expected to be able to program the lock from the lock itself, like the last one. The Electronics Barely Outlasted the Warranty

The lock worked well for about two years, then developed severe battery drain and now burns through alkaline batteries every 7 to 10 days with very little use. I verified 2.4 GHz WiFi signal strength, reset the lock, tested multiple alkaline battery brands, and confirmed there are no alignment or mechanical issues. The drain continues even while the lock sits mostly idle. Kwikset support was polite, but ultimately hid behind the 1 year electronics warranty and offered no accommodation at all. ...

Kwikset has a problem

While the fingerprint function works well, it eats batteries. I replace with new high quality alkaline batteries every month. It is mounted properly with no drag issues. Connection is strong. Batteries are name brand alkaline. I have other brand lock at other doors that last almost a year. Kwikset needs to stop blaming the consumer for this known issue. I am going to have to change all the Kwikset sets from my home. Too dangerous.

Great Lock

purchased and installation was easy. I did run into issue connecting to app because it kept saying device was already installed and to delete to connect I had to call support because i was unable to locate device and they helped me all the way through process and ensured everything connected and was working properly and informed me they were available 24/7. works great with both app and keypad and smart key rekey was easy to do.

Look elsewhere -- do NOT buy Kwikset Wifi locks.

This lock is a complete failure for anyone who actually needs reliable remote access. It only works properly if you are physically there to deal with constant updates and issues—which completely defeats the purpose of a WiFi-enabled smart lock. The battery life of these locks are not very efficient. I installed a lock and within 2 months the battery level was at 35%. When I spoke to Kwikset Customer service I was told the average life of the batteries is 3 to 4 months depending on the location of the lock to your router. Considering a 4 pack of batteries is $5 to $6, that is an additional $20 to $24 per year of expense added to the expense of the lock. I will be looking into purchasing another brand and replacing these locks.

Too many tries, App sucks.

This lock has been a nightmare. First it would not link to my wifi, we finally get pass that and at step 4 of registering the lock it fails. I am on what I truly believe my 30th try to sync this lock. You can't add additional fingerprints without the app. you can't link the lock to anything else besides wifi. i really wish I had not purchased this lock. The features that Kwikset boosts do not work.

Don't!

This lock for no reason sometimes refuses to open the door, I have to keep a lock box with a key in it in the door jam. Yesterday, we tried the reset to wipe out all the codes and start over... NOTHING ... blinked red 3 times.. thought maybe it worked.. Nope... then out of the blue after a half hour it worked.. so frustrating - we've only had it 3 months, sometimes it works great other times NO WAY...
