Great machine but self-Propelled mechanism changed

Had to get this new model because my old 80V mower finally broke down after 6 years. For those like me who have been using the 80V for awhile now, be prepared that this new self-propelled mechanism functions completely different than you're used to. You have to keep your finger on the self-propulsion while you mow, which makes your fingers cramp up, but you have to switch fingers and get used to it pretty quickly. Parts unavailable for repair

Mower itself wasn't bad. The side chute is all but worthless but the bagger and mulcher worked well enough. Cut was pretty good. The problem is finding parts to repair. The power control board went out and you can't get new ones through Kobalt. My mower is now a 2 beep brick. You should do better, Kobalt. I have to do research on who actually offers parts for service before I buy another mower but it definitely won't be a Kobalt.

Battery won't charge and kobalt is discontinued

I bought this a few years back, after doing a bit of research to make sure I got one that would get through the whole lawn without having to stop and recharge. Last week my battery stopped taking a charge and I just found out the entire Kobalt line is being discontinued. Now I have to find a third party battery, which is definitely hit or miss, or buy an entirely new mower to replace a perfectly good mower with a bad battery. Not happy with this.

I owned the Kobalt 80V push mower model for seven years and an very impressed with it's durablity, the only maintainance that it needed was to replace the rear wheel bearing which was easy enough. Great mower

This is a great mower ! The battery will last long enough for me to mow my front and back yard as well, but keep in mind that the grass catcher won’t last long, one reason is the design it seems to sag in the rear and tends to drag a bit and will wear a hole in it. Now replacing it is a whole different story. It seems that shipping costs more than the replacement bag itself, so if you find it somewhere cheaper pick up a few. Oh ! and never wash it with water. powerful and reliable, great in a hilly terrain

This is an excellent powerful and reliable lawn mower. I am so glad I bought it and gave it a try. My area is hilly with dense southern grasses. This little beast of a mower goes easily through my whole big yard on one single battery charge, and afterwards it still has about 30% charge left. No chocking on the hills. Unannounced delays in shipping caused me to reschedule my weekend plans twice. Now I have to figure out how to accommodate a weekday delivery. no notification unless I searched for it. Very disappointed.

Lowes stand behind what they sell-

Yes, I would buy this again!

I purchased the KMP 6080-06 Self-propelled 80VDC mower with a Mfg Date of April, 2019. Overall, I would definitely purchase this mower again. I am a little concerned with robustness at this point but I think it is just because I’m so used to gas mowers. This mower is quiet and I do not use hearing protectors as it just sounds like a medium size fan running.
