I've had this unit for about 6 years now, and have to say, I've had zero issues. Is it loud, yes. It's an air compressor. If you want a quite one, buy one that is marketed for that. I've used it for many home and auto projects. Pneumatic impact wrenches, nail guns, HVLP spraying, and just filling tires. I built a sound deadening box with an air vent so that I can have constant air in my garage, and it keeps up just fine.

I could not find this answer, so I had to figure it out mostly through research and trial and error. Hopefully this review will help someone who is wondering, "Can I use this to paint cabinets or furniture?" The answer is yes - if used with the certain tools and processes. I've had my compressor for 2-3 years now. I don't use it often, however when I go to use it...it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. It has this electrical current sound and doesn't do anything. I tried taking it back for warranty but I could not find my receipt. My small compressor from Harbor Freight has lasted a lot longer than this.
