What Customers Are Saying
The tile drill bit provides mixed performance. It can effectively and efficiently drill clean, precise holes through ceramic and porcelain tiles, especially when used with a steady speed, water cooling, and a drill press. However, some users reported issues with the bit breaking or becoming unusable after just a few holes, even with careful use. The bit may also get too hot and vibrate or lose its grip. Overall, the bit can work well if used properly, but its durability may be a concern, especially for larger projects.

I used the bit to mount a bar to hang kitchen utensils along my tile backsplash. Easy to use and works great. Since i read some negative reviews I attempted to see how well it would work on an extra tile I had (note this was after attempting with a masonry bit). I made a quick cut through the with moderate pressure. Each time i took a break (roughly after 4 seconds of drilling, I’d dip it in water to cool the bit). Before purchasing the bit set, I used a masonry bit I had. Not only was it diffic...
Worth every penny!
I was skeptical about buying these because of all the bad reviews, but i said what the heck I’ll give it a try. After all they are budget friendly. I just finished a tile project and i needed to hang the curtain rod. I drilled each hole like in less than a minute. You must use a water sprayer to keep the the bit from over heating (it gets hot within seconds) but it will get the job done and the bit will last for many other times for use. I recommend this product for the diy projects. 2 Thu...
Worked Great
Needed to drill some holes in porcelain tile for shower rod and mirror on wall tile. I tried to use the glass and tile bits, but they took forever to use (45+ minutes for 2 holes) I decided to run to Lowes and buy these to try. I wish I would have done it sooner. I drilled all of my holes in less than 10 minutes. I found it easiest to start with a smaller hole and then widen it out with a bigger (I needed 1/4 holes, I started with the 3/16 bit and then widened with the 1/4). I also picked up a s...

The first 3 Bottles ever drilled
Using the 3/16" bit I pushed too hard and I pierced thru the bottle. It was the thinnest of the 3 at just under 1/8". The 2nd attempt was successful thru a bottle that was 1/4" thick. Again, using the 3/16" bit I drilled a hole slowly and with a varying the amount of pressure & speed (with the bottle full of & water running as lubrication over the drill) I made my way through the bottle. I then used the 5/16" bit to enlarge the hole with the same caution as before. Worked great! The 3rd bottle ...

Very unimpressed with this
Bought the bit to drill two holes in wall tile in bathroom in order to install a towel ring. Was able to drill one and a half holes before it basically fell apart. The bit fits into a slot on shaft and then is either welded or soldered to hold it in the shaft. I was able to drill the first hole - the bit worked ok, but not great. I got about half way through the second hole and noticed that the bit was vibrating. When I pulled it out, the bit was off center, loose, and then just fell out of...
For making a bottle lamp, works great
Lots of negative reviews from others with complaints about poor durability. Clearly if you need to do a lot of tile drilling work, you may be better off spending more for better quality. But I just wanted to make a hole in a wine bottle to make a lamp at minimal expense, and for that purpose, this drill set was perfect and an excellent value. The key is lots of water cooling. Fill the wine bottle with water and submerge it in a bowl of water. Obviously keep your drill dry, but keep the bit wet a...
Perfect bit for drilling holes in tile!
I bought this bit for drilling holes in tile to mount a grab bar in the shower for my 83yo dad. I marked my holes, centered the bit on the mark and started drilling. The bit instantly started carving out a perfect hole--no drifting off my mark, no chipping tile--just a perfectly smooth hole. Just what I needed! I recommend it to anyone that needs to drill holes in ceramic tile! Sorry, I forgot to take pictures before I mounted the grab bar...

Glass tile
Had to drill through 3/8" glass tile to install a shower door. Masonry bits barley scratched the surface. Sent the wife to get these. Used with a hammer drill and water spray bottle. Making sure it had plenty of water while drilling, it only took about 15-20 seconds be per hole. Sometimes you just need the right tool for the job. These worked perfectly and I'm glad to have them in my toolbox.
Not worth the price or purchase.
I have 15 years of construction experience. I needed to drill 8 small 5/16 holes for a shower door installation. I bought these to get the job done faster and easier. First one broke when I was drilling the first hole, chocked this up to me being to rough. Second broke two holes in, while I was water cooling them as well as taking my time with it. Third broke on seventh hole after I drilled one hole at a time, water cooling the whole time and letting rest after each hole. Now down to last ...
Good set of Bits for the price.
I Bought these because I needed to run some concrete lags down to attach a kitchen island to the floor through some very hard ceramic tile. The supplied drill bit that was with the lags would not bite into the hard tile so these did great, I've used them in the past to drill holes in glass . Just remember to pour a bit of water on the drill spot so they will run better, and keep the speed low and you ahould be good. 4 stars not 5 because they could have a nicer package. The small black reta...
