I purchased a 3 lb Kobalt air compressor online and it didn't turn on. I returned it to the Highland store and purchased another one online again. when they one arrived it was obviously used and the box was ripped. I plugged that one in and it was broken. I returned the second one to the Highland store, but when I went to the isle looking if they had any more new compressors, I saw the one i had returned that Lowe's knew was broken, they repackaged it and put it back for sale. the box stil...

light weight but junk

purchased March of 2024 died Aug 2025. 18months of OCCASIONAL use, maybe 40 hours of run time stapling lath for stone veneer projects. bought it for it's light weight to replace a 15yr old rigid compressor that was still kickin strong but tired of lugging it around. replaced with a ridgid pancake.

Don't buy. I bought it and the second time i tried to use it the compressor just kept running and the psi would only get up to50 psi. It had a one year warranty but when i called Kobalt was told the warranty did not cover that problem. Not a very good product or Warranty.

I do mobile car detailing and this has been great. I paired this with a 50’ hose (Kobalt) and a Vacula air tool which is pretty low flow. I run it at about 65-75psi for blowing out interiors and assisting me in drying the exterior of the vehicle. It pretty much runs continuously for 2-3 hours while I’m working inside the car. I did the break-in procedure as written, and during the 30 minute cool down period, taped my new Kobalt hose and Kobalt inflator gun with the connectors from a Kobalt Kit. This was a total Kobalt set up figuring everything should work nicely together, and everything did. I didn't time the fill time but it seemed like less than a minute and the compressor cut off at exactly 150 lbs. Setting the working pressure at 90 lbs., it filled completely flat tires in about 35 - 40 seconds without a hiccu...

DON'T BUY, CAN'T BE FIXED

This air compressor worked well for the 1 year of its warranty and then 6 months after the warranty, the switch failed. Called the company for a replacement AND THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REPLACEMENTS PARTS FOR THIS. How can you sell stuff that it bound to fail and not even have parts to fix it? This is terrible business practice. All they want is your money and the best way to get that is to make you buy it over and over again.
