Control when you need it, a reasonable price

Doesn't rip my wrist off like the Milwakee or the Dewalt. This thing also doesn't lay down numbers that they do. It does however pull off rusted nuts slower to not strip off the threads. The settings gives me control, even if limited to three choices. Only taken off car and suv tires. Have bolted down porch lag bolts; took like 1/4 longer than the Dewalt Atomic my cousin was using, but I managed to outlast his 5amp battery with my 4amp. 1/2 inch impact driver

used it a handfull of times and it broke. Tried returning it to Lowes and they said contact Kobalt, eventhough their website says you could return it without a receipt....thay hav the manufacture date on the driver - well within the 5 year warranty-very disappointed in Lowes and the customer service staff ! I would rate them zero...

Impact review

I was quite impressed with this kobalt1/2 compact impact i bought if for two things that it ended up successfully doing 1 lawnmower maintenance( changing blades, and taking of tires and it took of my half tun truck tires with some resistance)(highly recommend impact socket for this too not chrome)

What an awesome addition to my tools

This was the second cordless impact tool that I’ve purchased. Didn’t like the first bought elsewhere. When I arrived at your store, I was greeted by David right away, told him what I was looking for, what for, and what my expectations were. He took me to your tool department and showed me options. Torque lives up to specs

I have several Kobalt 24 volts tools, with generally good service. Power and battery life are excellent. Exceptions have been failed drill chuck, failed blower trigger switch and on another very new drill, it stopped operated forward, only reverse. I bought this compact impact driver for occasional use. In the medium setting it broke loose 10 lug nuts that had been torqued to 150#. It is very lightweight. However, after considering that Lowes does not honor the written warranty as provide...

Shortest front to back Uggadugga.....

The Torque Test Youtube channel made me buy this. Give it 24v and it thinks it's a much stronger 300ftlb+ mid-torque. I love the mode which automatically stops it when it's hand-tight so I can put the digital on it AND the auto-slow which precent nuts from flying across the shop as soon as they really start to come loose... VERY Nice features...

Broken return?

I was excited to get this new impact to replace my 9 year old Ryobi that finally died. upon receiving and opening what looked to be a new 24v impact it had clear signs of use and did not work at all. I can't return, I am out of town and have no Lowes near me for the next couple of months.

not even 3 months of light use, it stuck to "hand tighten" and that's it. it blows

Great Product

Tool works great and I love that it uses the same batteries for other tools I have in the series. I really like that it has three torque settings and auto-slowdown when removing nuts & bolts. This is way handier than traditional air tool.
