What Customers Are Saying
The Kobalt 24V self-propelled cordless electric lawn mower is generally well-received by customers. It is lightweight, quiet, and easy to use, with a self-propelled feature and adjustable handle height that make mowing effortless. The battery life is generally good, allowing most users to complete their entire yard on a single charge. The mower performs well on regular, well-maintained lawns, cutting the grass cleanly and efficiently, though it may struggle with thicker, taller, or wetter grass. Some users reported issues with the mower shutting off unexpectedly or having trouble starting, but Kobalt's warranty and customer service were generally well-regarded in resolving these problems.

Mower is light, works OK and battery life is good for my small lawn. It does not mulch well at all. Blade design provides no lift. It barely lifts large dry leaves off the lawn to be munched. I have not been able to find a suitable improved blade that will fit.
mower keeps stalling
I was so happy with my mower in the beginning. Now it stalls constantly. I have since found out it was discontinued. All the associate said was there were problems. It didn't come with a manual. I purchased spare batteries, new blades (the website says there are no blades available for my 20inch 48v mower), and I empty the bag exceptionally often. The website is not offering any insight to the problem. If this is a warranty issue I would like to know before it expires.
48v mower
5 yr warranty is a plus. Mower quit working after a year. Kobalt gives a return code for warranty at local Lowes. This is not a replacement, you will have to purchase new mower again, otherwise pricing from a year ago is refunded!!
Hi there, Am! We're sorry to hear your mower stopped working after only a year of use. We understand your concerns regarding the warranty process...

Does the job
Got tired of spending $$$ on repairing gas mower. I have lot of other Kobalt 24 volt tools so all the batteries are compatible. Cut nice but don't let the grass get to thick, it will stop. If it had a couple more hundred RMP then probably do better (only reason didn't give it 5 stars). All in all does the job.
Stpooed working after clipping a brick
I thought this would be a good fit for my small yard. I used it half a dozen times with no issues, then I clipped a hidden brick and its never worked again and no one can repair battery operated mowers. Stick to the old faithfuls. At least if it breaks someone can fix it.

Awsone !
I am so happy to have this mower. Everything about this mower is easy. Easy to use, store (the way it breaks down), to use, so light weight for the monster it is. Comes with two batteries that, for me, they lasted for over 2 hours. It runs, pretty much on its own, I just have to direct it. A lot of my cutting is on hillside, and this mower is a blessing. Going back up the hill to put it away I just hold the one lever and walk along with it. I highly recommend it, especially here on Earth Day. T...
Light mowing only! Simple mulch mower.
First, I decided to buy this mower because it said "rebates" available but after buying I saw the rebate that I did not qualify for ($174 rebate). That was disappointing but likely my fault for leaving an old zipcode in my browser cache. I waited until I had a chance to mow 2 times before I was ready to write about this mower. This mower is only good for shorter, dryer grass, and mulch mode of cutting. I tested it out, excited that my lawn could be bag mowed, and was a 100% failure. I mowed w...

This is the mower for you if: - You’re a boomer who has nothing else/better to do with your time than mow your lawn three times a week so there’s never really much to mow. - You want to revolve your entire day around mowing (because you’ll start in the morning, the batteries die, you have to spend three hours charging them, then hopefully complete your yard work during the second round, if you’re lucky) - You live in the desert with little to no grass. - You live in a “patio home” with a yard t...

It's Fine - For What it Is.
This works just fine on my half-acre flat lawn. I can mow it all on one charge (it uses to batteries and comes with a dual-charger that takes about three hours for a full charge), about 45 minutes. Sometimes it runs a little shorter time if I use the power-assist the entire time. But I bought a couple spare batteries so I always have a combat-ready spare charge. People complaining about this are expecting it to be identical in power to their gas-powered same size mowers. That's unfair. You can...

Pleasantly surprised with the power and stamina.
I went in looking for a new gas lawn mower but there were none in stock for under $400 so I decided to take a chance and make the jump to electric. Once I got the batteries charged I was able to mow the entire lawn (just shy of 1/2 acre) without needing to recharge. The mower is so light that I didn’t bother to use the self propelled feature so that probably saved a lot of battery power. I hadn’t mowed the lawn in a couple weeks and it powered thru the heavy stuff that would have easily bogged d...
