This is my 3rd Char-griller and the first time I've been disappointed. Everything is thinner and lighter. The lid of the grill doesnt align with the bottom causing massive leakage. The side smokebox is smaller than that standard side smokebox and its door is sprung open requiring weight to close it.. If I purchase another Char-griller, Ill not buy it direct but from a retailer where I can inspect it before making a purchase.

I am back to the old time smoker, finally! After moving to a gated corporate owned community I started using a pellet smoker for the last 8 years. Not only do I love it, but the quality is amazing! Prior to this purchase I was constantly buying grills because they would weathers and be ruined in a couple years. I would give this pit only 2 stars if it were not for the low price and the fact it does a reasonably good job at smoking and cooking your food. First the good..... it does a decent job of smoking meat in spite of the fact it leaks smoke and heat like a sieve. Last time we purchase any CharGriller product.
Poor workmanship, reminds me of rush job, half-baked. Did not fit well, parts misaligned. Parts had to be bent, bolts poor quality, support brace for smoker could not be screwed in as holes were not drilled in correct place. The lids do not seem to close properly which will result in loss of heat. Disappointed as previously we bought the Pro-Deluxe type version and all parts fit perfectly. i grew up and worked in a machine shop as a kid and know about these things.
