My church and I bought a 48 inch zero turn John Deere. It was dropped off four days later. When I got to it, it would not start. It had a broken plastic cowling around the motor and the glove box lid was gone. When we took it back ourselves, none of the other Moores would start of the 48 inch. Consequently we had to buy a 54 inch which would start and we had to pay 200 more dollars for. That's our story.

13 hours shredded belt

I purchased a new John Deere Z325E 54-inch ZTrak from Lowe’s on July 1, 2026, for $3,899 before tax. Within weeks of purchasing this mower, the deck belt completely shredded and delaminated, with the internal cords separating from the belt. This is extremely disappointing for a brand-new John Deere mower at this price point. 10 hours and will not start.

Bought from Lowe's July 15, 2026. Worked fine until Saturday August 22. Now it will not start. Engine fires but will not turn over. Cleaned the plugs, tightened all the connections, verified the fuel pump is working. Still nothing. 10 hours on the mower! Lowe's washed their hands because it was outside 30 days. Disappointed that I was sold the display model

I am highly disappointed that I was sold the display model lawn mower and not given a new one that was not weathered. When I returned to the store to pick up the lawn mower, I was told that because a manager was not on duty they couldn't give me a new one from the stock in the back, only to go back the next day and they had already replaced the display model that was given to me with a new one. Have cut my 3 acres five times so far and it’s been great. Starts right up, runs great, lawn looks great.

Great Two Young Men that loaded my Mower

The two men that brought my mower out and loaded my mower were very helpful and the associates in the lawn mowers department from the beginning of my order online 9/08/2026 thru 9/10/2026 were very help also

Breaks belts often.

I bought mine in 2024 ar lowes. It breaks belts often. After the second time, I replaced the pulleys, bought at the local john deere dealer. One of the factory pulleys had burr on the lip. One of the replacement pulleys had metal burrs on it. I had to exchange the new one for another one. Once again, it broke another belt. Lowe's never has the belts in stock or the tune up kits. This mower is great. Ordering it and having it delivered was easy. It has worked great so far.

Ordering and Delivery

I have no problems with purchasing items from Lowes. What I have a problem with is when you are having items delivered, and the sales people in the store tell you that you will receive a phone call the day before letting you know the time frame of the delivery, and you do not receive one. I called asking as this was being delivered to another location and the store could not give me a time at all. I didn't have any clue as to when they would arrive until the following morning. I really like this mower which is one that is easy for me to stretch out my arthritic legs. It didn't take long to learn the driving aspect of this powerful machine. I can get so much mowed on my large property.
