Great for me!

I am a 90 year old woman, still doing my garden/floral business, who has lost an unbelievable 8 inches of height over the last 10 years, so finding a garden tractor that "fit" me was a challenge! I found it in this S140 John Deere, easily able to reach the pedals. And also gained 6 inches of cutting width, which cut the time it takes to mow my 1 acre of yard and open field I now call a "Park" that the neighboring kids enjoy playing in. Will never buy a mower from Lowe's again.

I am absolutely appalled by the condition of the $3000 lawn mower Lowe’s delivered to us. What showed up at our home was not a new mower, but what was clearly the outdoor display model—and not even one that had been minimally cleaned or prepped for sale. The mower arrived dirty, with a filthy seat, wet and moldy documentation, scuffed fenders, and what appear to be early signs of rust. disappointed with the cut just does not leave a smooth cut. the tractor itself is not built very well thin metal. requested swap lines you would have just read about the UAE and swap lines whether it's for the Federal Reserve or the treasury or to maintain order

BEWARE of Extended Warranty

I never write reviews but feel I need to share. We purchased our riding mower with the Lowe's extended warranty in late March 2026. Four months later the mower stopped running. We contacted Lowe's and spoke to a very unfriendly customer service rep who stated that Lowe's would not handle the issue because we were past 90 days and that we would have to file a claim online. Delivered a old mower

Ordered online and had it delivered. When it showed up, the seat is beyond new, the hood was faded like it had been sitting outside since April. Bumper was bent and dust everywhere and the battery was dead. I called the store that it shipped from and no one wanted to take accountable about sending a dirty/old mower out. Said the best the could do was to give a $200 gift card. A new hood is $207, seat is $144 and a new battery is $85. very disappointed

Good lawn mower

only used it once, but appears to be an excellent machine. Not sure about the plastic hood, but we will see how that holds up.

No easy oil change filter and i got great deal..

I was going to wait till spring to buy a new mower but when this John Deere went on sale i could not pass up the savings that i was able to get with the sale and then the extra savings using my Lowes card. I picked this mower because it was the only one that did not have the easy change oil filter. I want to make sure all the old oil is removed from my engine when i change my oil. Great Mowing Machine

I chose the John Deere S140 after seriously evaluating competing brands. Sure zero turns are sexy, but can lose traction and dive into the lake unexpectedly, I chose the tractor style. This will replace my D105 Deere bought in 2017. With an 22 HP V twin motor & a 48” cut, this Harley sounding beast makes quick work of cutting the knarliest crabgrass and has enough power to reduce the big clumps of grass. Solid Mower

I bought this mower because it has a regular oil filter and because it was on sale. I needed a riding mower with bagger to fit between my zero turn mowing and large tractor with a 7 foot capacity. This mower is excellent with 48 inch cut and 22hp engine. It’s used for areas that need clippings and leaves picked up. It’s good around trees and on hills and is comfortable. A very solid riding mower.

This is more of a review of my Lowe's purchase of this riding mower. I ordered this from Lowe's on 7/20/26 and was provided a delivery date of 7/24/26. On 7/23/26 Lowe's emailed me to say that the delivery was rescheduled to 7/31/26. I contacted Lowe's to find out why and was told that it hadn't been assembled.
