Missing parts

I ordered this pocket door and had it delivered. I realized it was missing the hardware and one of the door jams. I went back to Lowe's to exchange, and that door had the hardware but not the other side of the door jam. The online installation instructions numbered the parts differently than what was provided on the box - so that made it extra fun in explaining what I needed in store, until we realized the instructions didn't match. Check for hardware before purchasing

We purchased this frame and the separate hardware Lowes recommends-The rollers were 1.5 inch and the track needed 1in. I called Jeld-wen, they said the frame comes with everything you need except a door. I went back to Lowes and checked the pocket frames which most of the hardware packages we're torn off. I found one and I took it to go with mine, so I guess this happens a lot.

Expensive,low quality issues

Price is high,doesnt come with door jamb,doesnt state that you need to buy it seperate.dont know till you assemble it. Structure is very flimsy,all stapels were loose on both kits i bought. Some staples missed the wood and split the frame. After reinforcing and restapling both kits,installed,made both door jambs only to find out 1 kit the track rail is not centered and door drags on the frame.....after i installed and adjusted door,built jamb in place. Wish I had read the reviews before buying

DO NOT buy - hardware is likely to be missing- The store is no help called them twice on hold for 30 mins and then they hung up and if you call Jen-Wen they tell you to call store. I have a contractor here waiting to install but no hardware.

What you need for the job.

Fairly easy to install. I'm an amateur at this, but I would have thought that the latch hole would have been pre-cut. A bit pricey for what you get in the end.

Pocket door frame

We didn’t notice until we started installing it that a piece at the top had broken off. We had to get another board and make the section that was missing , about a 10 inch piece. Our son had put in a pocket door at his house so he helped us to realize the piece was missing and to make a new piece. Also the slats inside the “wall” were not nearly enough to fasten tongue and groove to. We had to make more slats and fit them inside the frame. The wall/frame side of door is a little flimsy even after sheet rock but all in all when it was done worked and looked good. Just a side not:The framing instructions weren't real clear on securing the header and the opening size required per instructions are a little much even at the minimum required height. Works fine if the wall doesn't have to be strong

I got this to use in an ADA bathroom and realized once it was in that it needed to be much stronger to account for the possibility of someone grabbing the jamb for stability. I shimmed and installed the frame then removed the 1x bracing on the sides. I milled some 2x4s to accommodate the metal u-channels at the jamb and cut a notch to attach the back side to 3/4 ply which I placed on both sides of the frame. Not well constructed

This is a failure by Lowe's, the only 3 (36x80) in stock were broken. The employee that pulled the item never looked at it to make sure it was in working order. So unacceptable. The frame was not very well constructed.

Missing Parts

We ordered 3 doors to be delivered. 2 were missing the bag of parts. We called the local store and of the 3 they had in stock, all were missing the bags of parts.
