What Customers Are Saying
The product provides the useful functionality of delivering both hot and cold filtered water through a single faucet. Many customers were satisfied with its performance for several years, with some reporting over a decade of reliable use. However, the faucet and internal components tend to fail prematurely, often within 5-10 years. Common issues include the cold water lever getting stuck, the hot water not shutting off properly, and leaks developing around the handles. While the product has some appealing features, the lack of durability and repairability makes it difficult to recommend.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.Excellent valve. 25+ years without any repairs.
I have had the faucet for somewhere over 25 years. It has worked almost almost flawlessly throughout, and still looks as good as the day I bought it. The cold water valve no longer locks in the "on" position, but there is an easy work-around: just put a cup or bottle of dish soap on the lever to block it open when you don't wish to hold it open. We use it 2-10 times daily. Hot tea, instant coffee, or perhaps melting frozen veggies with hot water prior to going on the stove. I also use the hot w...

Faucet gets HOT when dispensing cold water - weird
We have had our unit for approx. 15 years. The faucet gets SUPER hot when dispensing COLD water. Never figured out why. Also the hot water Side randomly leaks. Sometimes it makes a grumbling noise several minutes after it was Turned off and then spurts out hot water. Strange and unsafe. We Are Building a new home and looking at different hot water dispensers since this one has been so weird!

Good quality and durable
Color and hardiness of the faucet is good. We’re replacing one that finally tapped out after 11 years of daily use.

Easy to install and works like a dream!
Installed this myself as a replacement for the instant hot + cold faucet in our Kitchen that finally gave out. At first I was intimidated by the maze of hoses and water lines connecting it to the tank, but the installation instructions were so clear and easy to understand that the DIY job went smoothly, and we were back in business in no time. I just trust the Insinkerator brand. All of their products I’ve ever owned, from disposals to instant hot systems, are well-made with solid metal componen...

On demand hot water; filters the chlorine
We like having the hot water for tea and other beverages needing hot water. So much nicer not having an extra appliance on the counter or stove top. The filter works great, eliminating the chlorine smell from our water. I had just the hot water faucet after we moved and missed the cold tap - having both is my favorite. We had the countertop people drill the hole in the quartz. The rest of the installation went smoothly. It isn't comfortable working under a sink and inside a cabinet but the en...

Wears out very quickly
We installed this around 4 months ago. About 2 months ago the cold water lever stopped staying in the 'on' position. Then 2 days ago the cold water stopped working entirely, and using the hot water causes water to leak out of the cold water lever base. Not a good lifespan for the product at all.

Great to use, but needs to be replaced every ~2 years
This is the 3rd time I've purchased this product and it seems to fail every 2 years. I can't deny the convenience of having instant hot water at the sink and how good it looks, but even with general care and maintenance every month, a water filter attachment from Insinkerator, it STILL manages to break somehow in a way that the manufacturer has no suggestions to fix. The problem always seems to be a constant leaking, so I'm guessing an inner rubber o-ring is finally worn out? There is no replaci...

Most appreciated Appliance in our kitchen
We had a professional install the new faucet due to the nearly impossible access under our sink. For him it was easy. It was not the faucets fault for being difficult to install. We replaced our previous Insinkerator Hot/Cold Faucet after 22 years of excellent service. (The valves simply wore out and the parts are not replaceable- we definitely got our money's worth). Great product, well made, and a game changer for the kitchen.

Great, if it works
Purchased and installed after removing the old one. Then noticed that the nozzle stem was bent backwards slightly. Not perfect, but we could live with it. then the Nozzle began to sputter and spray water everywhere. InSinkerartor has agreed to replace the whole faucet. Good, but now I have to remove and reinstall once more (a real pain under my crowded sink!) The main issue is trying to communicate with them. I filled out a request on their website, they answered in a few days. But when I ...

Tank Prone to leaking and faucet drips
In the last seven years I have had three insinkerator units in my kitchen. The first two leaked in the same spot, at the seal between the two metals cups that create the inner HW tank. I took the first one apart and placed a gasket between the two but the metal eventually corroded and leaked. Second one, I just threw away after determining root cause. The third time I mounted it over a drain pan. However the cord comes out of the bottom instead of the side causing it to sit in the water if i...
