These are great pliers. Have a “ratcheting” that locks at intervals making it easier for me use my strength to push or pull without having the grasp I once had. My brother had a pair and once I saw how much better they worked, I had to have a set!

I bought this set (8in & 10in) along with the larger 12in single to complete the set of 3. I brought them home, used the 8in a few times for some plumbing work I was doing. It did a great job. I then had to move up to the 10in for a larger supply line hose. Within a few seconds of use I heard this very loud "SNAP!!" sound that I thought was something I did to the plumbing due to the hose possibly being frozen on. Thankfully the plumbing was fine and the hose was not frozen. The 10in pliers...

Would Not Recommend

Fell to temptation on the price. Bad idea. Larger pair - seems I need to use excessive force to keep them from slipping. The small ones, I haven't used but are already 75% coating of rust on them, just sticking out of my tool bag - stored indoors. Stick with klein, knipex, etc, etc.

great adjustable pliers

Would Recommend

The dual features permit you to just slide the jaws in the direction to make them smaller, but a push button to adjust the jaws to slide open. These won't accidentally change jaw opening like normal channel locks.

Vice grip slips

DO NOT BUY THIS This is straight up dangerous! The second time i used this the jaws slipped from normal pressure and injured my thumb. It took me a week to heal the cut and sprain. I've tried to use it since then and it slips with normal pressure. I'm assuming it is a one off and just the one I bought because they are completely unusable no matter what position you put them in and everyone would be complaining if they had the same experience I had.

I've had these for quite awhile and I have been happy with my purchase. These are usually my go to pliers before I'm forced to grab something more "specialized" at times. The grips are very good in the hand and also durable. The buttons and the detents feel good with a nice pressure to release the lock in the groove.
