Great deterrent to keep squirrels away from bird f
My husband bought this to go around a 4”x4” 8’ board (well he cut the metal piece to about 5’ length. He made a notch in the wood and attached it to our wood fence around our patio and nailed it securely. He then nailed this metal above the wood fence and at the top of the wood, he attached metal hangers for our bird feeders. The squirrels can no longer get at our bird feeders and can’t climb the metal!!

Horrible for assembly
I have used ducts like this on multiple occasions. Previous samples have always had the more traditional snap groove with larger snap in channels. I have NEVER had any difficulty; the classic version of this type of snap duct just works. With the thinner grooves on this product I struggled for over an hour on a single 60" piece and it never snapped together. Grooves simply wouldn't align . Complete waste of money.

Squirrel Baffle--5"x 5'
Absolute junk! Cheap, thin metal that distorted easily during assembly. Unlike the older design, the pipe has spaced clips that easily break or distort during assembly. The pipe cannot be disassembled w/o distorting the clips and therefore becomes a useless product. Next time, I will purchase from a quality store.
Cheap, easy to use
I used this to squirrel-proof my bird feeder that dits on a shepherd's hook. I had tried PVC pipe but the critters' claws dug into it, allowing them to climb it. Not here. I finally have a birds only feeder.

Squirrel & Raccoon Baffle
The pipe adequately surrounds a 4x4 wood post. The squirrel has given up trying to climb it. To my knowledge it has yet to be raccoon tested. However, the bird feeders show no evidence of being disturbed. As noted by other reviewers, the pipe is difficult to snap together. Frankly, I gave up and just wrapped it around the wood post and screwed it on. Thus, the 4-star rating. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied. The squirrel isn't.

Foiled the raccoons
We actually used this to put around an outdoor wooden post that had hanging bird feeders and flowers on it. The raccoon would come and drain/destroy the feeders at night, despite having a baffle around the post or greasing it. Putting this duct pipe around the post, around 4' high, has done the trick. No more racoon. (Oh he still comes at night, as our trail camera shows, but he looks up and walks away dejected.)
