Enjoy the maximum cooling benefits of your ceiling fan with the Hunter 12-inch extension downrod in Brushed Nickel finish. This downrod is ideal for use in rooms with 9- to 10-foot ceilings to ensure optimal cooling performance. It is compatible with all Hunter and Casablanca ceiling fans, not including Hunter Original® ceiling fans, and is suitable for other ceiling fans that use a 3/4-inch diameter downrod.

This 12-inch downrod is ideal for 9- to 10-foot ceilings
Brushed Nickel finish to match your ceiling fan finish
3/4-inch diameter for strength and stability, durable steel construction, deburred interior channel to protect wires, and tapered threads for deeper engagement
For indoor use only, not to be used in damp or outdoor environments such as bathrooms and porches
For sloped ceilings greater than 34 degrees, use Hunter's Angled Ceiling Mount (Model 61706), sold separately

Ensure stability by using pliers to turn setscrew until firm, do not hand-tighten setscrew

It works OK but it’s a difficult install

Installing a blade is much more difficult than need be. You have to keep the blade aligned then try to fit the screw into the nut all while the fan is swinging and rotating and you’re in an awkward position. The remote Doesn’t work very well. It seems I have to turn the light on to get the fan going and I can’t tell what speed it’s set to. Finally, I spent a half hour trying to get it not to wobble or balancing the fan with a little improvement.

Nice fan, but?

The fan is very nice. The degree of adjustability w/the fan and light is a plus. But, why would you not allow hard wiring to this unit. Our old fan had double switches in the wall, so set up should of been easy. I have replaced 3 other fans in the house w/hunter fans. All have been great. install and wiring, no problems. But now you have to use the remote which does work, but now I have a total of 2 switches on my wall that I must dead head. Your instructions show either single wiring or double ...

Advice about downrods

I gave my ceiling angle number to customer service asking if I need a downrod. They said yes. I ordered it but did not need it at all! Makes me think they told me to get it just to make some money. Very disappointed. I paid more for shipping ( which is not refundable) than the downrod.

Matches Garland fan

I needed a 12" downrod to match a Garland fan, but none were in stock. Customer support said this brushed nickel would closely match the nickel style of the fan, and it did - I can hardly notice the difference in appearance.

Sharp Looking

Would Recommend

The fan was very easy to mount. Clear instructions, cleverly packed parts. We purchased 12" rod separately. Rods in the package are 2.5" and 4" long (too short for 10 feet ceiling. I installed myself. Everything works, quiet motor. It decorates our living room.

Well made rod, but mount point tight

Got a 6 foot pole to go along with Fanimation fan Item # 581598 Model # LP8147SLBN. The screw in connector would not go far enough to allow the Pin through. I ended up cutting 1/8 inch from the screwed end to allow the safety pin through. Looks really good when up!
