This is not what is advertised. This thing is junk. It’s a rebranded piece of junk. It’s really a “first alert” thermostat. First alert as in smoke alarms. The app is worthless. Zero features. It is a minor upgrade from a simple digital thermostat and a huge downgrade from the last Honeywell I had. This thermostat uses the first alert app. Not the Honeywell home app

My house is ten years old. I wanted a wi-fi enabled thermostat. I installed this unit using the instructions. It would not turn on. Tech support was of no help. Their suggestion was to hire a HVAC service to install it.

Decent, not the best.
Decent thermostat but not as easily modified as I would want. The device is not capable of understanding that it’s connected to a heat only system. Programming option should exist to remove the “cool” function entirely when connected to a furnace or other heat only system. Changing between modes is no-existent except by schedule. Uses different app than my other HW thermostat
Thermostat works as expected, but is controlled by a different app then my existing Honeywell wifi thermostat. The new app works fine, but just looks much worse than the TCC app which controls older Honeywell thermostats. The fact that they have not integrated all of their thermostats into a single app is really disappointing.

OK reasonably priced thermostat
Didn't realise that this was a 5 wire system and it could have been more obvious that I either needed to add a wire or buy the adapter. User interface really isn't designed for normal use. I was trying to make the "Away" schedule work like it did for my NEST to set a lower temperature set point when I was going away from home. Administer home temp from afar!
Easy to connect to WiFi and program by individual days or set up the program for all week. Via app, monitor temp in the house, change the system from heat to cool, and change the temperature setting. Also can easily remotely put the thermostat on vacation mode, and your preferred vacation temp. Easy to install, especially if the previous thermostat was a Honeywell (I just plugged it into the existing Honeywell panel, without having to deal with wiring).
