The new Wi-Fi Honeywell thermostat is fantastic. I replaced an older one. I did have technical issues and called support. They were fantastic. Turns out that the old one even though it was connected, the C line was not connected on the furnace. It’s great to have a thermostat that automatically keeps the temperature within a hot and cold range so you set it and leave it and you can control it from anywhere. It’s great.

It's a basic thermostat that does its job
This is a basic thermostat. The app is weird and not intuitive. It's easier to control with the SmartThings app. Also, it doesn't really give you any information about how long the system is running, if its efficient... It's a far cry from a smart thermostat. The color feature is cool.

Easy to read - 25 feet away!
Can read the outdoor temp(left), Current temp(center) and Temp setting(right), long before you approach the unit. Of course, you can change settings just as easily from your phone or computer where ever you have an internet connection in the world.

Junk
This Tstat has a mid of its own. It switches the temp and settings whenever it feels like it. Piece of junk There is no permanent hold either. This was a waste of money I’m guessing that’s why it’s on sale so they can dump them and discontinue it.

Poor Choice
Sure it is easy to use and set up. Terrible functionality/package details say auto heat/cool. (Only if you spend additional time to schedule and predict weather) Mobile UI is from the 80’s.

Easy to install, great support, great product
I actually installed this myself. When I had a question, I called Resideo and received a quick response from a real person, who told me what adjustment I needed to make. I have now had it running for three months, perfectly. I also connect it to Alexa and at night often tell Alexa to change the temperature from my bed at night. When I am away for an extended time the app works perfectly.

So good I bought another one
I bought one of these in 2020 with a new HVAC system and it worked great until this year when it got zapped by a power surge that also messed up the control unit in the main unit. Fortunately the same model thermostat was still available, although it appears to be on Clearance now. I will say the touch screen performance on the old unit degraded some over the years, so I'm not sure if that will be an issue this time or not. The new unit works much better than the old one in that regard. It's eas...
