Poor fan pull chain and switch design

The fan operates beautifully and quietly. I was satisfied with it's operation. However, the fan pull chain increasingly became harder to pull until it finally broke off inside the switch. I've made two calls to customer service and haven't received any help. Both times I was told by the Lowe's customer service agents that Harbor Breeze doesn't supply that replacement part and that HB would contact the manufacturer who would then send me an email within 3-5 business days. Decent for the price, one glaring issue

Pretty easy to put up although compared to others I've done in the past there's a fair amount of assembly. Seems the trend now is that they want to box these a very particular way so the blade frames even must be installed, not just the blades. Balance is good out of the box. The flaw? Candelabra bulbs. Another one bites the dust

Last year we purchased 4 Harbor Breeze fan / lights (3 were the same models) paid to have them installed. A month later the light stopped working on 2 of the 3 identical ones. Unfortunately I procrastinated and went past the warranty. Internet and box photos not correct.

I ordered this fan as I liked the colors shown on the website. But to my surprise the fan is not a bronze but black with copper trim. The blades are suppose to be a toffee-caramel color as shown and cocoa. The blades are actually walnut on 1 side and the other side is black. Very disappointed in Lowes for not portraying the correct colors online and on the box. Otherwise, Harbour Breeze fans work great. I will not be using this fan.

Not a "Breeze" to install

Now that I figured out the tricks necessary to get the blades attached to the motor and then having to carefully thread the fan chain through the small mounting holes and then down through the globe, I have a new good looking fan that I worry about the durability of the awkward fan chain configuration and the fact that the chain just goes through an unprotected hole in the glass. This is the worst designed light kit I have ever worked with. I can just hope these dumb candelabra bulbs don't need ...

Nice fan! Great value!

Installation was fairly smooth. The manual was well-written which helped with the install. The only complaint I have is getting the hex nut on for the globe is a bit fiddly, but not too bad. And make sure the fan chain is routed correctly so it doesn’t bind! Once installed, it looks great. The fan is silent, and moves air very well in my 120 sq/ft office. Looks good, and installing wasn’t too bad....

This fan was a “breeze” (dad pun intended) to install. There is one issue that I had, which was: there is no ground wire coming from the fan motor. I’ve installed a few fans, and other lights, and there’s always a ground. The instructions said there should be, but there wasn’t. We bought 2, so I even opened the 2nd one, and it’s the same. We purchased two of these fans. One fan installed in the kitchen and the other in the dinette area. Difficult to replace

The light puts out very dull light so even in a tiny room you'll need another light. I'm extremely frustrated with this light and I would never get this light again. Lowes doesn't sell replacement glass for this so after getting sent to the wrong dept several times I ordered a new globe for about half the price of the light. Not as easy as it looks!

Light in the box, seemed easy enough but installing was a bit exhausting. The main issue was the blades screws arent long enough to grasp into the holes when installing after the motor has been placed per instructions. Highly suggest a magnetic screw driver so you dont drop your screws every five seconds like I did. The wiring worked out well but my system was a little different than the booklet.
