The Harbor Breeze Oakham fan looks nice, has wide blades, and pushes plenty of air, but the design choices are frustrating. The fact that it only has two available frequencies is completely impractical if you are installing more than two fans in the same house. Why not provide more frequency options? Also, they should have added one more wire for a separate wall switch for the light instead of making you completely dependent on the remote. Then there is Lowe’s tech support. Slow Fan Speed
Really slow fan speed. Can’t connect to a second switch for light/fan. We have it on winter time rotation cuz that’s the only way we’re able to actually feel any sort of draft. I’m gonna be returning this. The old 1990s fan put out more air with smaller blades before it died.

Can only be controlled by the remote
This fan is designed to be wired to a constantly “hot” circuit and controlled only by the remote. It can NOT be wired to a switch on the wall.

Does the job well.
Looks great. Works great. Installed on a 15' ceiling with a 2' drop bar. I felt if it was lower, the 70" size of it would be too eye catching/distracting. Not many fans seem to be available in bronze these days. I bought this one based on that, as my other lighting fixtures and curtain rods are also bronze.

Good product.
Great product with more speed settings than we thought. It went together easy according to the directions that were provided. I wish the documentation that came with the remote were a little bit clearer. Had some questions we had to figure out ourselves. Overall, it's a great product with clear installation instructions for the fan.

Awesome fan
Replaced a 52" fan with this. I wish I had bought this the first time. Cools down a room almost instantly and you don't even have to have it at the highest setting. Super easy install with good instructions; only took about an hour. Going to buy another one for my bedroom soon.
Stopped working
Bought the item on march 23, stopped working in begining of July. Ridiculous lifetime warranty Obviously the motor is defective since it’s going back and forth and making clanking noise. Will be returning this to lowes!

Fantastic fan with some caveats
Install was pretty straight forward. Not as easy as some Hunter fans but not so complicated that you wanna give up. Install is standard. Light is decently bright. I really loved this fan but I had to return it. Why? Because it came with a remote but Harbor Breeze has zero wall controls for remote controlled fans. Wonderful fan
I love this fan. Its air movement is great for a large room. I like the timer settings and the ease to which you can change speeds, change timer and one click blade reversal for cold weather to warm weather. The fan makes virtually no noise at all.
