In my long life I have purchased at least a couple of dozen ceiling fans but have never had one as noisy as this one. Lesson learned: next time spend a few extra dollars and get a Hunter or another higher quality brand.
Bad fans
I actually purchased three of these fans for my home. My electrician installed all three, but one of them was very loud from the start. He said it sounded like the motor or another internal component was already failing. He was kind enough to take it back to Lowe's and exchange it for a new one. Unfortunately, after he left, the replacement fan and another one also started making the same loud noise. Only the third fan has operated quietly. This fan is great for our large master bedroom. Very quiet. Our old fan hardly lit the room so I am extremely happy that I can now see in my room when the lights are on. I was happy that we had it install through Lowe's as we have a high vaulted ceiling. The company that came out J & M repairs to do the install were great! The tech was on time, informative, and did a great job on installing this fan.

Motor is loud
Tried a oalham first, but the light output was terrible. Ended up putting a Macon bay up, lighting is much better with a bulb upgrade, the motor is pretty loud which is kind of dissapointing, but its only 220$.

Makes so much noise on high and medium
I bought this fan on January 11, 2026 and it makes so much noise when it is on high and now does it on medium as well. I wish I knew that when buying this fan because I would have 100% bought something different. I have never been able to use the fan on high due to the noise it makes which is extremely frustrating. This is one of the worst and noisiest fans I've ever had.

I had it installed by Lowes installers, I was not impressed with ther installers as they seemed to be stuggling with the install and after install found the light and fan connections were backwards. Then when I turned fan on high and second from high it would make a loud humming noise. I don;t know how I can return as the installers took the box with them. Also i don't have the abillity to take it back down on my own.
