Ok in a pinch, but lacking safety features

First off, I am a mechanical engineer. I purchased this fan to replace a 20 year old fan that failed. Overall, I have to rate this fan as just shy of Chinese junk. Its ok as a drop mount fan or in a pinch, but I have some serious issues when used as a flush mount. When used with the drop mount, it has at least two methods of fastening at each visible joint, relatively safe, but when used as a flush mount, you have to eliminate one of the fastening methods so that only 3 SHORT screws are all th...

Fairly easy to install, works well. It wasn't quite as easy to install as some of the ones I've worked with before, but it was quite a bit less money! The kit comes with everything you will need except for a mount if you don't already have one installed. It is a straightforward procedure and if you have just taken the old one down, then this will be pretty much the reverse of that process. Dangerous!!!!! Do not buy!!!!

Had this fan for about 3-4 years. I had it installed professionally. Never wobbled or did anything funny. Worked great until I come home tonight and the fan is laying on my bed!! The bracket holes for the 2 mounting screws was totally warped! This fan could have killed me, my wife or one of my kids! This fan needs to be recalled! I’ll be contacting this company first thing Monday! I am afraid to ever install a ceiling fan again!

These fans are great! I just bought a new construction home that did not include fans, so installed four of these throughout the house. Instructions were clear, no parts were damaged, and they were all installed by a single person in about an hour each (putting the blades together takes a bit of time). They move air efficiently, have three levels of air flow, and are attractive and quiet. The ONLY issue I ran into was with the provided bulbs. The fans were in place & tested and the lights began...

Quiet, great fan!

I really like this fan! I ended up hanging it flush with the ceiling, which made the screws a little more difficult to put in, but other than that, it's been FANTASTIC! The bulbs are LED daylight and they REALLY are bright, so if you want softer light, I would purchase your own bulbs, but I really like it. I bought another one for the guest room after using this one to replace the fan in the master. The blades are actually dark gray on one side and black on the other.

Just moved into a new house with ZERO fans, and a *tiny* light in each bedroom! Great Fan!

Easy install. Works with multiple length extension rods - and look great! Installed 4 of these in my son's house. Would have rated 5 stars but had an issue with 1 of them. The fan had an internal piece that was bent, but didnt realize until after install and turned on power - the fan wouldn't move. I had to take down and return. No issues with the return except my local store didnt have anymore of this model, so i had to travel to another store 20 miles away.

Right out of the box it had a wobble on high. No big deal, but after like a week the fan started making a cooking noise. I took it apart and i realized it was the bearing, and I couldn't do anything about it. After about 2 weeks the wobbling got so bad that it was hitting the ceiling and making a clanking sound, I tightened all the screws, and it didn't do anything.
