Worth the money

Be aware of

It wobbles and it does not come with a balance kit, 1st time I have purchased a fan that does not come with the balance kit. Additionally the tip of the tube that hold the light bulbs cover was bent, the fan was already installed so it was not worth taking it down and return. Other than that it works fine.

nice fans, but one is a hummer

Bought 2 of these and installed them on my porch at either end. Very nice looking, but unfortunately one hums. Not real loud, but significantly more than the other and enough to bug me, even when I am inside the house. Without that I would have given a 5 rating. Still debating whether to go through the hassle of returning the hummer to hope the new one won't hum so bad. I've been waiting to see if the hum goes down with breaking it in, but so far, it has not (it's been a couple weeks now). ...

Attractive and Quiet

I have installed over 300 ceiling fans during my career. As far as the installation, we all know that real men don't need no stinking directions! As far as the plastic fan blades, really, who would want that type of look inside their home! I have used Harbor Breeze exterior fans on so many outside installations, I truly can not remember them all. Great, easy to install fan!

I love this fan. It looks so much better than the flood light my porch came with. It gives off a soft, warm light and the fan works well. I’m excited to sit on my porch all summer. Love that lightbulbs were included. Installation was easy and the instructions were clear, detailed, and easy to follow, but the instructions given had you install the fan blades while the fan was hanging so my arms did get a bit tired of the overhead work. Still totally with it and I’m glad I made the switch.

Don't believe the description.

The Lowe's website CLEARLY says, "Downrod or Flush Mount Ceiling Fan". On PAGE 7 of the installation instructions shows four options for installing ceiling fans, and has the "slash" symbol on FLUSH MOUNT, which is how I wanted to install it. They also say, "Flushmount installation is not available for this item." Having removed a flush mount fan, I had to adapt my porch ceiling to accommodate the Harbor Breeze Echolake fan. It was a great problem because of the false information on your site...

Attractive and effective Ceiling Fan

Instructions were detailed, but order of assembly was onerously difficult. Specifically, I would have preferred the fan blade and light-base assembly on a table or flat bed BEFORE hoisting the fan into the ceiling bracket. I would have done that with the help of another person. That said, its an attractive and effectve fan. Finally, you should reconfigure the package design to include an internally wired remote control for the fan and light. Thank you.
