Not quiet
We have two other Harbor Breeze fans and they are both silent. Which is why I bought this one to replace an older noisy fan in our living room. The motor makes an audible humming noise even on the lowest setting. I will return it.

I'm moderately handy and I wanted to improve my diy skills by installing this on my own. So I would rate this a 7 in terms of difficulty with 1 being extremely difficult and 10 being very easy. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It might be ideal to have someone help with a few aspects of the installation such as holding it steady while you do the wiring. Works like a charm
Very simple to put up, came with everything I'd needed as someone who'd never put up a ceiling fan before. Was able to hook the fan and light to separate switches with ease. Quiet and strong.

Delivery canceled on me several times throughout the week and I spoke to Corey concerning the issue bc I had to cancel work several times to fit their schedule. I wasn't called 48 hours as promised. Not so great
If there is any way you can afford a Hunter fan - you should absolutely purchase a Hunter !! I paid an additional $30.00 for a remote control for this fan. The remote does not allow you to change speeds and it is difficult to install the module for the remote. I will say the operation of the fan is reasonably quiet. The installation is not easy . Buy a HUNTER fan - you will be glad you did !

Misleading box label
I should have researched the company and comments before purchasing this fan. Just like so many other customers. I purchased 2 ceiling fans and read the box features remote ready meaning that the fan has a remote control system included. Not that I have to purchase an additional item for the fan. This is truly false advertising by using creative words to appeal to customers to purchase and install before they realize that there is no remote. Ceiling fan box without remote in it.
I bought this ceiling fan knowing that the box said it had a remote included. When the electrucian came to install the fan it did not have the remote in the box. Very disappointed, as i also asked two sales assistants in the fan department that i needed a ceiling fan with a remote included in the box. They both confirmed it did come with a renote this was in the Newnan GA store.
