What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this mower for exceptional cutting performance, handling tall and overgrown grass with clean, even results and minimal battery drain. The quiet operation—described as 4X quieter than gas alternatives—is frequently highlighted as a major advantage, allowing normal conversation while mowing. Users consistently report impressive battery efficiency, with many completing full-yard mowing on a single charge and finishing with 50-70% battery remaining. The zero-turn capability and ergonomic design make operation intuitive and comfortable. A small number report minor steering quirks or wish for onboard battery charging, and a few experienced defects, but these concerns are far outweighed by widespread satisfaction.

I’ve only used the mower a couple of times so far but it has exceeded all expectations. It’s very quiet and plowed right through my overgrown lawn with no hint of struggle. Plenty of torque. Runtime isn’t an issue with my small yard. It’s not the most comfortable ride ever but it’s a lawnmower so it’s expected. Headlights give good visibility. I definitely wouldn’t buy from Lowes again, though. My delivery was rescheduled twice with less than 8 hours notice and a third time with less than 24 hou...

Speedy little ninja machine!
Upgraded from an old John Deere Riding Mower. The SPEED of this riding mower is awesome for my 4 acre property. Had to learn how to go downhill - ended up in a ditch because it's WAY better to go UP hill when mowing hillsides. The mower is quiet, and the batteries last my entire yard and some! If it shuts down at 5%, just turn it off, wait a minute or two, and the mower will be at 25% when you turn it back on. That will get you back to the shed to switch out batteries. Mine came with 6 ins...

Bad batteries
I first contacted Greenworks Customer Service on April 28 regarding my CRZ428 80V Zero Turn Lawn Mower because the batteries are no longer holding a charge. Even with a full charge, the mower only runs for about 25 minutes, which is far below the expected runtime. During my initial call, I provided all the requested information, including the mower's serial number and the serial numbers for each battery. The customer service representative was very helpful and informed me that the batteries wo...

Tires slip - frequently loosing control
The electric mower has potential, but there some major problems. 1) Wheel control - the tires slip frequently and the mower will literally slide. (I’m on dry grass and minimal slopes - nothing significant). 2) The wall charger does not automatically shutoff when the batteries are full - the whole mower will continue charging indefinitely. 3) When stoping/starting or turning the wheels tend to tear up the turf because they spin so easily. Its almost dangerous because it is so hard to get tractio...

Nice change
The mower itself works great. Cuts great and handles the gentle slopes on our property much better that my prior riding mower. The ZTR feature is a definite time-saver. Really pleased with the ease/speed of charging as well as the low battery usage with each mowing.

Good momer for flat property only
I bought this in 2024. If I had flat ground, I would rate 5 stars, but I have rolling property. It is hard to keep it going straight when you are on a 15 degree incline, or any incline. It is fast and effective. It cuts well and except for the problem on inclines, it works great. I wish I had bought the old style with the steering weel for my property. It is relatively quite and the batteries last a long time. It's nice not having to store gas, oil and changing spark plugs and air filters every ...

Excellent Buy
This was an excellent buy. I was hesitant as this is a large purchase and a $5K mistake is rather costly. However, I was pleasantly surprised and am glad I decided not to wait until next year. Power: I went from a Craftsman riding mower with a 17.5hp Briggs and Stratton to this. When they advertise a 24hp equivalent, they are not exaggerating; it is at least that. I would have my craftsman revved up to full still having to go very slow and certain areas of the yard would still bog down t...

Amazing mower. Top quality, LONG battery life.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing riding mower! Delivered to my house. A little complicated to get the mower off the steel-framed crate that it was shipped on, but that's because it was packed and strapped so securely. The packing itself revealed what a professional, quality company Greenworks is. Once I had it in my garage, it was easy to complete the set-up: installing the seat and steering arms and charging the batteries. The mower, the parts, and the instructions we...

Not bad, but could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So as a mower, it's pretty good. Be prepared to buy new tires (stock are slippery) and new blades (stock are soft steel). Quick to drive around, it's a little sloppy in its turns compared to a gas mower but it's minor. My BIGGEST, massive complaint is that you can't plug it in to charge it. It's really comically dumb having to haul six batteries back and forth. I have a car charger, this mower should have port to charge off of that OR at least...

Great mower! Greenworks has great products!
I purchased my zero turn for this mowing season and it has been great so far! I’m new to the zero turn so there has been a big learning curve. The batteries charge quickly & the runtime is perfect for the area I mow. Very pleased with this mower
