Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen in Mist + Nest Thermostat in Snow

This particular NEST is awful

Very expensive -- after it was recommended to contact our HVAC guy! Nothing worked! Our home was built in the 80's (older wiring) and HVAC from 2010. This NEST tripped our electrical panel all the time. Finally got it to work but the NEST kept saying there was no power. 89F in the house and we got a manual theermastat. Everything working fine now!

The truth hurts!

NEST-tacular

NEST is a great thermostat, especially for the price I paid for this one. I originally had the 1st gen NEST thermostat in our home that our zone bought for us. It was the best t-stat and the most simple to operate, especially through the app on my phone. I had to finally upgrade due to no longer support for my old one. I really enjoy using these and like how easy they are to work and also the functionality of how they operate and perform.

Works but can glitch and no notifications

It works pretty well. You need to have the Google Home app to install the thermostat and make any changes to settings. In the app, it is easy to set up a schedule or turn it on/off while traveling. I've had this thermostat for 5 years and it worked well until it started glitching and occasionally would not send the heat signal to the HVAC but the app showed that it did. screen goes wonky/blank. good luck with warranty

the display started showing off center numbers, half numbers, garbage. jumped through a bunch of hoop with Google they admitted it was bad. they offer to send a new one if I give them a credit card number, and they would put a hold on my card until they received the bad one. I am not doing it!

false advertizing

paid for installation, lowes sub contracted the install out to another company, who then rescheduled on me twice and then just cancelled it. said they were gonna refund me for it, i havent received a refund. why advertise a 99$ install you cant do? i now have to do it myself because obviously their "pros" arent.

Installation process was horrible. I was never notified who the installer was. They did not call prior to the date that I had requested on the app and I waited home and no one showed up. Rescheduled appointment was also never confirmed but when I went to check, they tried to reschedule on me. I was not available in the timeframe that they were providing still waiting for feedback.

Good but disappointing

Bought this and a sensor thinking would be great since my bedroom is at the other end of the house and could keep my bedroom at a cooler temp, only to get it installed and the sensor doesn’t work with this model nor is their one that does…. So frustrating….

Clean Look, Super Fast Install

I installed the Nest Google Smart Thermostat in about 10 minutes — the setup was very straightforward and the instructions were clear. Disappointed

Needed a new thermostat and decided on the Nest so I could track usage. I had been happy with it until this morning, awaking to a freezing house.
