I expected much better quality from Yale. As shown in the photo, the glossy front screen scratches incredibly easily under normal use. I purchased this lock to replace the previous yale lock that I had. I want to be able to have access to my lock from my phone. Installation was easy. I used the video instructions provided and had it replaced in able twenty minutes. It was easy to set up the app and separate pin codes for each of my family members.

Software issue not covered
Purchase at your own risk. Mine stopped working. Come to find out I was a week out of warranty but it’s a software problem. Nothing I did but I’ m out of luck because it’s not under warranty. Totally unfair given it’s a software issue nothing I did. I’m replacing my whole system

I have unlocked my door from London when I was on vacation for my maintenance man to do some work since he forgot his number. Worst key lock entry EVER!!!! impossible to connect through 7 different apps, none of them work together, 5 different people who are extremely tech savvy tried to connect it and was not able to connect- way more complicated then it is worth. Terrible product!!!

Piece of junk!
[Employee of yalehome] Stay far away from this! I have had this on my front door for approximately 3yrs now. I can't tell you how many times I have had to remove the batteries and get to the reset button to get this back on my network. Nest connect is 4ft away from the lock and another 6ft to my router. It's not specific to my router because I have changed my WiFi router 3 times in the time I have had this POC and still with the same issue. Time for another brand!

This lock has been out for some time, and with Google migrating everything over to the Google Home app, I am sure it will be replaced soon. The lock worked with the Nest and Google Home apps without issue, but you have to have a deadbolt that locks without restriction, or this will not work. After having our yale lock a little short of two years it started draining batteries after maybe 3 days. We reached out to Yale customer support and after a lot of back and forth they said they would send us a new lock.
