The Generac Load Manager 50A is designed to optimize the performance of your generator during power outages by intelligently managing the load. These modules allow you to prioritize which appliances and systems receive power when your generator runs, ensuring essential devices stay powered while preventing overload.

Wire-free technology: The Load Manager Module are self-aware and operate autonomously; automatically shedding the managed loads to allow the generator to recover if sensing a drop in frequency.
Prioritize loads – power items that are most important during an outage through customizable load priority selection and up to 8 modules per system can be used.
Lock-out feature: The load Management features a lock out system, which permits blocking of specific loads only when using generator power, allowing for the important loads to be powered more often.

Would Recommend

Good product as described for managing heavy electrical loads such as dryer, hot water tank, heat pumps, etc during power outage so your generator can properly start and maintain proper output for your needs. The original one only lasted 3 years. Hopefully, this one can last longer than that. The installation is pretty straightforward and make sure the priority setting is set to the same as your old one.

Replacing one that failed

Would Recommend

This is a "must have" for a whole house generator that supports a few heavy load items - A/C, electric car chargers, etc. Does the job. I only gave 4 stars because this purchase was to replace one that failed at just over 2 years - warranty of 2 years and manufacturer would not cover.

I had this install 3 years ago. It has worked flawlessly until now, June of 2023. As I understand it, generac is having problems with this 100 amp unit. We shall see how generac handles this.
