What Customers Are Saying
This wood-burning fire pit offers a sturdy and well-designed construction with a deep bowl that accommodates larger logs and open mesh sides for good airflow. Many users appreciate the included cover and poker tool, as well as the overall ease of assembly. However, some common issues include the lid/screen not fitting perfectly and concerns about long-term durability and rust resistance. Preventative measures like adding sand and high-heat paint may be needed to extend the product's lifespan. Overall, it provides a functional and affordable backyard fire pit option, though some maintenance may be required.

I saw this model on the floor display at my local Lowes and compared it to the other wood-burning pits there. Here is my comparison results: This was the only fire pit that stood up to my gentle shake test to check how sturdy they are. Everything else, from the cheaper models to the more expensive ones all felt very flimsy and shook way too easily. Compared to the more expensive ones, this particular model was larger, round, more sturdy and has a higher capacity frame and bottom grate. I prefer ...
Grdn Treasures 29.92-in W Ant Black Steel Fire Pit
I haven't used my new fire pit yet, so cannot comment on it's performance. It looks good, but based on the following on-line reviews, I ordered this fire pit fully expecting it to include a way of emptying the ashes (ash grate). However, I feel I was cheated in that the fire pit that arrived at my house, although it looks the same, does not contain a real ash grate nor any other way of emptying the ashes. Following are just two of the reviews that I read which influenced my decision. Lowe's ...

Pleased with it for the most part
It seems fairly durable. It gets a minus because the lid doesn't fit as good as it should, but it does stay put, so at least it does that. Please note! The instructions state you need to fill the bottom with sand. This may be a surprise to you if you schlep it home before reading the instructions (which 99.9% of people will do.) Anyhoo... It takes almost two 50 pound bags of sand to fill it to recommended level. So, add about 7.00 more to the final cost (aside from firewood!). Nice thing is, 10...
Great Fire Pit!
Great fire pit! First, for all the reviews that say the finish was horribly scratched/damaged: the finish is intentionally distressed for effect, it is not damaged. I thought the original finish looked nice but, followed the suggestions from others who purchased this, and spray painted the entire pit and lid with high heat corrosion resistant spray paint to help extend the life of this pit since our previous one (different unit) rusted pretty quickly. I bought every last can of rustoleum in a 10...

Unboxing and Some Obervations
I read a lot of reviews before buying. This one's negatives were typically (1) Lid doesn't fit (2) Wobbly Legs (3) Scratches on finish (4) Rust......then ther were a lot of folks who loved this. So I went, looked and found this one to be far better than the $50 "junker" for what I "think" we are all trying to achieve. Fire! P.S. I read..and yes...it says put sand in the bottom. So, do it! 1) The lid fit perfect out of the box. But, why would you lid a fire unless you are in some drought ridde...
Good size. Good look. Smells TERRIBLE!
I've only used it once so far. the entire 2 hours it was being used it emitted a horrendous smell like chemicals, plastic or paint burning. The odor was so strong and offensive we stopped using it earlier than we would have liked. We simply couldn't stand the smell any longer. Was giving us a headache and was just super unpleasant to sit near it. I'm hoping the smell will not be there the next time we use it. Or at least it will be less and less noticeable each time. I called the toll-free numbe...
We were shipped a damaged return!
See pics. We liked the look of this fire pit but it wasnt available at our local lowes so we had to order online. The firepit was dented and scratched all over, if you look at one of the handles you can see someone tried to paint it? kinda of. It's just destroyed and NEVER should have been shipped to anyone in this conditon. The box had a lot of packing tape on it which makes me think this was a return that lowes looked at AND THEN shipped to another customer! That is unacceptable. When looking ...
How to Make it Last YEARS!!!!
Most people are in a rush to use this fire pit, but if you slow down and do these 3 things, it will last 8+ years. If you don't... you may get 1-2 years of use. 1) Paint it before assembly with Rustoleum 2000 degree Primer and Paint. I used 1 can Primer and 2 cans of Black. It's so easy. Remove the pit and all it's parts and place them on the supplied cardboard. Toss on a coat of high heat primer and wait 30 minutes. Then toss on a several light coats of the high heat black. Don't forget to pa...
Good pit, terrible screen/top
It's a good fire pit, but the top is useless. I bought the same fire pit last summer for a lake house. We didn't use it much, but when we did it was great. It's big. You can really get a lot of wood in there. With the sides open you can see more of the fire and it gives off good heat on cool nights. It's sturdy. Not the thickest material, but I can see getting a good few years out of it. The removable screen, that serves as the top to put the cover over is just aweful. The first one was war...
EXCELLENT PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE!!!
I bought ours last year on a BFS and I paid $47.74 for it. I will keep an eye on this product when it goes on sale again so I’ll have one extra. At first glance it seems flimsy, but it is actually very durable and holds up pretty well. It does not seem to weigh too heavy as I can move it by myself and even with 20-30MPH gusts it does not move. Assemby was quite a breeze and wasn’t too complicated. The lid seems to sit a bit off, but it does stay put. After some use, the lid screens sags a bit b...
