The refridgerator functions well. It is a shame that it only comes in white at an affordable price. I have not experienced a higher electric bill yet so I am not sure on the energy savings. There is enough shelves and the capacity of both the refridgerator and freezer are sufficient for our needs.

Awesome Refrigerator!
This new GE refrigerator replaced an older Amana, and I love this appliance! The drawers are spacious, as are the shelves on the door itself. The freezer is large enough to store my frozen foods and bread I make, and I anticipate I will be very pleased with this product. GE is among the best appliances available and they are also affordable.

Do not buy this fridge! The fan doesn't just hum, it makes a loud purring/buzzing noise I can hear all the way in the bedroom. Also, the switch that turns on the water for the ice maker makes a very loud, unpleasant buzzing noise. I used to have the same ice maker, it just made a little click when the water turned on.
