Definitely hit and miss when you hit the power button. Contacted customer service and they told me to “reset” it by unplugging it. Still works only half the time. Total piece of junk.
Easy one touch applications.
I bought it to replace the microwave that came with the house. Had it installed and it’s easy to use no complications and does incredibly good with popcorn.
Venting
In comparison to my previous over-the-range microwave, the ventilation on this unit is more powerful. It’s certainly a welcome change. No other issues as of yet.

The operation of the microwave I like, but I do not like the design changes for mounting it. I have have the same model microwave for 20 years. This now one is the third unit over that time. The previous units were direct replacements, same mounting holes, etc. This unit the top mounting holes were different and the wall mount was different - WHY. Slate colored countertop microwave is dicontinued
I bought an entire kitchen package in the Slate color, and mistakenly ordered an over the range microwave. It was my fault, so I resold the microwave to someone else. My new cabinets have an alcove for a countertop microwave to just sit on a ledge. Now I find out that GE has stopped making any counter top models in the Slate color. The microwave was an excellent product for a moderate price. The installers made some tears on the backdrop below the microwave when they removed the old microwave and did not offer to make any repairs. Had they been more careful this could have been avoided.
