Important things to know before buying this fridge: a) the protective plastic film is built into the production process--it is not "added" after-the-fact. This means when you go to remove it, parts of the film are trapped under other pieces of the assembly and it doesn't come off cleanly or evenly. Just shut off totally
Bought this refrigerator 28 days ago. It completely shut off. Nothing working at all. Was fine all day went out for an hour and came home and discovered it was totally shut down. Powersouce fine outlet fine no issues except intermittent ice maker would not make ice routinely so had to monitor it all the time. It’s getting returned and not getting it again.

We purchased all GE Profile stainless steel appliances when we updated our kitchen about 18 years ago. Over the past 4 years, each has been replaced, again purchasing the Profile line. So far the GE Profile has met with our expectations. Love the quick release door for quick access to condiments. Fridge cooled quickly, produced ice quickly, and we like the autofill water sensor. Beware of freezer not closing
We bought this refrigerator 3 weeks ago and noticed some water on the floor. Ok no biggie, we cleaned it up thinking the kids must have taken the cup out before the water finished dispensing. Then we noticed the freezer had frost building up and the bottom drawer had an icicles forming. I called GE and a tech came out today. He said it happens to all of these fridges. He even asked to borrow our BLOWDRYER to melt the ice! Now what do I do with this lemon??

I do like this refrigerator but it is not smudge/fingerprint resistant. The right door does not close tight, you ALWAYS have to make sure it is closed tight. It's convenient to be able to get certain things without opening the entire door but it does not close tight. The ice cubes are very small and takes a very long time to make the ice....hence, if you need crushed ice, that takes a very long time to get enough for a drink or smoothie.
