Love the unit except for a couple of problems. Ice maker works great nut very loud and ice gets caught and jams up often. Also led lights are no longer operational.

Poor Frig
Not reliable lasted 3 years and then internally leaked and since it’s a self contained unit it costs More to fix than buying a new one. Poor quality very disappointing expected more from GE.

Bad freezer
Convenient refrigerator, terrible lower freezer. Freezer keeps freezing up and dumping water out the door during defrost cycle. Had service here at least twice and problem persists even with the defrost coil hack. At this time will NOT buy another ge.

Large capacity refrigerator
Capacity wise this fridge was awsome. Function wise, this fridge immediately had switch and lighting problems. Have only had this fridge a few years and it has now stopped working. For the price I feel really ripped off. Have heard several reviews of the same issue.

We’ve had this refrigerator for a week, replacing a 17 year old Kenmore Cold Spot side by side. Immediate observations- extremely roomy! Absolutely concur with other folks. Do not recommend. Our fridge started having problems almost immediately after we moved into our brand new home and this fridge was newly installed - freezer door fell off and could never be reattached properly (less than a year in), then the ice/water issues started (18months and several tech visits), and now, after about 4 years, it’s not cooling - there’s ice in the crisper and it’s hot on the top shelves. We've had this fridge for a couple months now and overall we are very happy with it, except for how loud it is. We love the design. The French doors are very handy, and the lighting is bright and cheerful. I've had the fridge a week now and so far we're pleased. The delivery process was excellent. We got this fridge when our stainless steel bottom freezer fridge that was less than five years old pooped out. This new fridge is black slate, and we LOVE it. It's hard to see fingerprints, and it's easy to clean. The door-in-door seemed so silly to me at first, but actually, it makes getting milk out of the bottom bin easier, especially for our kids.
