Maybe the company is the problem
This model was given to us by the builder when we purchased a new construction home. This dishwasher lasted 4 years but the worse part is we hardly use our dishwasher. The dishwasher stopped turning on about 4 months ago. I also have a GE microwave that doesn't work either. The turntable started spinning when you open the door and then stops when you close the door. The microwave continued to work even though it was spinning but after a couple of months the turn table no longer spins when in use...

Leaked Gas Internally Right Out of the Box
First, the base is much bigger than the previous cooktop (only a very small lip actually sits on the countertop) so I had to cut my granite to get this to fit. Then, I hooked it up and my gas meter shows it has an internally leak. Not the connecting points, but inside the burner. Lowe's will not exchange because their policy is that it must be requested within 48 hours of pickup. So now I must attempt to get it fixed through GE--not fun!

Stove top is very good. 20 years in restaurants, as close as I have found to industry in this price range. Easy burner/temperature control. Knowing this from experience, stainless shows every spot.

Beautiful cooktop. Replaced older GE Profile with this and we’re very satisfied clean up is easy. Only thing was learning that the knobs turn opposite to what we’re used to.

Letters dissappear with cleaning.
Bought a brand new house 2 years ago that came with several GE appliances, lower grade of GE products. The cooktop's Stainless Steel gauge is on the poorest grade, it scratches with a blink of an eye. Just installed my new GE Stainless Steel Natural Gas Cooktop today. Took a few hours to get my old cooktop disconnected & my new one installed. Looks great and will clean up easily. Can't wait to get started!!!

Stainless steel is thinly used, we experienced a scratch by the knobs and we haven’t even used the unit yet. The fan on high is extremely load and appears to be installed out of balance. I will be calling for service.

I have no problem with the item itself but with the salesperson who put my order into the computer. I specifically asked for a 36” stovetop but he entered 30” instead. After waiting for over 2 weeks for it to arrive I opened the package only to find that my stovetop was 6” to short for the counter top opening. He also couldn’t answer any of my questions about that and other stovetops. A good salesperson needs good product knowledge and product training before being turned loose on the customers....

This unit replaced an older unit from the Monogram line as was a third of the price for a direct replacement. Good value for the money.
