What Customers Are Saying
This product offers a sleek design, versatile dual-size burners, fast heating, and an easy-to-clean glass cooktop. The oven is spacious and provides even baking, with simple and intuitive controls. While some minor issues like cooktop scratches and long preheating times were noted, the overall quality and performance of this appliance are highly praised by customers.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.Door cover falls off.
As an oven, it works fine enough. However, the door cover keeps falling off because the magnets seem to lose strength when the oven grows hot, and resetting them in the door only lasts for a day or so before they weaken and fall off again. Worse yet, the oven door cover is needed to weigh down the door when open, so when it's fallen off, the oven will not stay open for loading or unloading. Additionally, the alarm for the oven timer is thin and soft, and cannot be easily heard from more than ha...

Unsafe Heat Distribution and Poor Customer Support
I wrote a review 8 months ago but nothing came of that so I'm reminding everyone to not buy this model. I purchased this GE range (model JB645RK8SS) in late 2022, and from the start, it’s been unsafe to use. When even one burner is on, the heat spreads far beyond the cooking area — the entire glass top, including the front edge where you stand, becomes extremely hot within minutes. Multiple technicians from both Best Buy and GE came out. Parts were replaced, but the issue never improved. The G...
Horrible
Two of the burners don’t work anymore. Uneven temperature. I absolutely hate this stovetop.

The Stove Will Not Last!
We purchased this stove in 2020 and it was a great oven, it took a long time to for the oven to fully heat up, but that was no big deal. Fast-forward to 2025 and just the other night I noticed an orange glow coming from where the lock lever is on the front of the stove. Our stove has a lift up glass top option for maintenance, and there is a space you can see under the top glass, which is rectangular for the locking mechanism, and that's were the orange glow was coming from and you could see the...

One Burner Already Broken After 18 Month
I’m disappointed with the durability of this range. After only about 18 months of normal use, one of the large burners stopped working properly—the temperature can no longer be adjusted and it seems stuck at the high heat level. Unfortunately, this happened just after the warranty expired, so it’s not covered. It’s frustrating because this isn’t very old for a major appliance, and I expected better longevity from this brand. It also makes me wonder if this is why GE keeps sending reminders to p...

Was working perfect until it just stopped working
This oven was great while it was working, heated up very quickly, which was really great which I find and most electric ovens is not the case… Everything was great and easy to operate and the cooktop was so easy to clean, except for the groove running around the edge which stuff got stuck in… But one night I was using one of the burners while I was broiling something and all of a sudden it stopped working… The clock is still working, and if I press the brown button and start, it’ll say it is w...

Not Sure NOW!
Today I am posting a review because I believe that this product might be defective and dangerous. I honestly had no problem with it since I purchased it in 2017. It still looks like new because I'm not that fond of cooking. Fast forward to about an hour ago and I just got the scare of my life. I have a 5 month old shihpoo who likes to stand in front of the oven door and look at herself while I clean the kitchen. Today as she was walking from side to side, in what seemed like a harmless ...

☹️ The glass cooktop developed a sunken hole 2 months when we started using it and later developed a spontaneous crack originating at the large burner after normal use. No object hit the surface — I heard a popping sound during cooling. It less than 2 yrs old 😒

-The oven is slow to preheat. Much slower than my previous range that was 23 years old. -Who would ever think they needed to check where their power plug was on their wall to make sure the stove would fit properly. The engineers did not leave enough room on the back of the stove to accommodate different placements of plugs in homes. Now my stove sits 1 ¾” from the wall allowing my spice bottles to fall down behind it. One of my specific requirements was a stove with a flat top across the back ...

It's okay
I really like GE products, and this one is good but I do have a few issues with it: 1. The glass top has some scratching on it from simple everyday use (nothing too heavy and nothing dragged on it, just the act of turning the pan to move the handle from one side to the other), and doesn't clean very easily when a splatter heats up on the top (after letting the unit completely cool I use Weiman Glass Cook Top cleaner - some splatter had heated up/baked on during cooking, and the cleaner wouldn't...
