I am pleased with this product except for the placement of the controls. My previous cooktop had the controls on the side which was great. These are at the front and cumbersome to clean.

Already broken

I replaced a 6 year GE Profile cooktop with this one since it was he only one I could find that fit the hole in my granite countertop. That one suffered the same as this one in that the "Power Boil" dual element burner stopped working. That on lasted about 3-4 years and I replaced it once but it stopped again after a year or so. Not perfect but usable

The stove top works great. Although it has 5 burners you are only able to use a couple at one time because of the closeness and pans not fitting the space. We thought the knobs in front center would be a nice feature, but they are the way for cleaning and moving pans around.

Buyer's Remorse

I love GE products and have always had GE ovens and cooktops. I was so excited to replace my old white coil-burner electric cooktop with this smooth-top 5-burner. I've only had this product installed for a few weeks, but my excitement did not last long. Here are the issues with this product: 1. I do a lot of slow-cooking, meat in gravies, stews, etc., which usually is a 2-3 hour cook. None of these burners will cook anything on low heat. Replace GE Profile Cooktop

This one has the five burner which I liked. I also like how the large burner is in the middle so all the steam from cooking get exhaust with the fan above it.

Excellent replacement for my previous GE stovetop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with my GE electric stovetop this far. I replaced a similar older model that also worked great, but i broke the glass! This model with a metal outer frame looks great and will hopefully hold up better, though I promised it I will not use a meat mallet anywhere close to it ever again!
