Decided against buying this "compatible" cooktop

I have a new Frigidaire oven. This cooktop is on the list of compatible cooktops. The specs call out a 7.5 inch clear space under the countertop. My oven goes into the cabinet space underneath. From cabinet floor to top of counter-top is 31 inches. The cabinet floor is 5 inches above the kitchen floor. The oven body is 26 inches tall. There is about 5 inches left from top of oven to counter-top. To meet the 7.5 inch clearance, I'd have to raise the cooktop or lower the oven. I've decided to look...

Arrived damaged

Cooktop was not properly packaged for shipping. Three burners and caps were not secured adequately and were loose inside the box causing scratching of the stainless cooktop.

Built sturdy and great features!

Quality Product Very Happy

If you are on propane this is very simple to swap out the burner orifices and convert the regulator to propane. If not a DIY person use a local plumber for your install, much cheaper than going with the installer from the Big Box store where you may have purchased. Rife with problems

We bought this stovetop and thought it was great—the first week. Since then we’ve had multiple problems. Contacted Lowe’s for the service warranty. They send out the original installers, but the process is awful. First they don’t work with you to schedule anything. The automatically assign you a day—over a week out. Great. Brand new in working. Cooktop you can’t use and you need to wait over a week. Then they are supposed to call the day before to give you a window, so you’d better be prepared (...

Beautiful, heavy duty, but a bear to for the upkeep

Stainless scratches

We finally switched from electric to gas and bought this stovetop a few months ago. It came with some minor scratches as one of the knobs were not securely packaged and I think slid around during shipping. The stainless is a pain to clean!
