The first lasted 19+ years and still worked great; we just wanted to switch to induction. The cooktop is really easy to use, the learning curve is fast, because the cooktop is so easy to use. There's a slight buzz when a burner is on PowerBurst, but you don't have PowerBurst on for very long, so it's not an issue.

Induction is awesome

This induction cooktop is unbelievable. I have always used electric cooktops and envied those that cook on gas as is was so much faster. NOW my cooking is faster and safer that my previous ceramic cooktop and sleeker and easy to clean. No knobs! Please check your cookware to make sure it is compatible. Just get a magnet and test each and every pot and pan, if it sticks to the pan you are good to go, if it doesn't replace it with one that does pass the test. I only had to replace one of my pans. ...
