We purchased this garage refrigerator/freezer at the beginning of July. Since then, we have not been able to get the refrigerator to cool to a good temperature. It was only keeping milk at 50 degrees. So, we had to scrap everything in the refrigerator and call the repair company. They just arrived and determined that not only is the refrigerator bad, but the freezer is no longer keeping things cool, so now more wasted money. All due to a bad defrost heater. Purchased this a couple of weeks ago. Got it home & it runs constantly & makes strange noises. Looked in supplied manual to see if there is a problem. Says that is normal because it is efficient - not really, my previous frig was 1.7 cu ft larger & the yellow card said it was more efficient that the new one. Tried to return & Lowes said past the 48 hour limit. How could I have determined this issue in that time period????????? Not satisfied with this lemon. Also could not tell in store it...

Poor manufacturing and quality control.

Have you ever bought something and it was just barely good enough that you don't return it because the hassle of returning would be a tiny bit worse? Well this was the case. The front door panel was not completely glued to the door and if you push on it it moves in and out. Also you can see the glue in many locations. The tape they use to secure the refrigerator is too strong and hard to remove. It almost pulls the refrigerator apart removing it. It should probably be sold as a scratch and dent ...

Great value refrigerator

I bought this a week ago and it was the right height to fit under my kitchen cabinets. I liked the fact I was able to reverse the doors easily to swing the other way for better access in my kitchen. There is generous capacity in both freezer above and fridge below and it really does great cooling job. I actually had to rachet back to less cold from the middle setting. And I am glad that the platinum finish allows magnets on the front! Many do not these days.

It's a Refrigerator

I can't complain much about this refrigerator. Good price ( on sale)...Gets good and cold. It gets the job done and holds a good amount of food and drinks. My issue is some of the wording inside the refrigerator was scraped off or faded, it's new so not sure why that is. Looks tacky. In the door compartment it doesn't have a bin that can be closed and there's alot of space, but it's weirdly setup. It'll do for now.

Freezer Issue

Everything is great except the freezer door pops open when you close the refrigerator door. Now there is frost in the freezer and on the outside edge of the unit. Each time the refrigerator door is closed you have to remember to push the freezer door shut. And invariably someone forgets. Thinking about a lock for the freezer door but that shouldn’t be necessary for a brand new refrigerator.

These are garbage

I’ve bought two in the past year and both are no longer working. The first one lasted 11 months the last one only lasted 1 month. Warranty people came out and tried to fix it it went from freezing everything to not even cooling. DO NOT BUY these units. I will never buy another Frigidaire again and may not buy another from LOWES!!

Stopped working less than one year

This fridge was great until it wasn’t. Purchased June 18, 2025, stopped working sometime in June of 2026. This fridge was at a second home and when I arrived on June 23, 2026, I discovered it was. It working. Manufacturer said sorry, nothing we can do, your 5 days past warranty. Poor business practice. Will not purchase this brand again.

Avoid!

Freezer door pops open when you close the refrigerator door. Does not seal tightly. The shelves are not sturdy The bins are not sturdy. Cheaply made, definitely not a garage ready, I Lost a freezer full of food due to the seal and it being the garage. Save yourself the hassle and go with a different one.

Fridge sucks. Spend more than 800 bucks next time

We got child safe locks for this because when you close one door, the other opens and will stay open until you notice. After we fixed that problem in the first week, it still doesn’t stay cool in the fridge. I thought it was “overfilled” even though there were only 84 cans and some mayo in it. So I reduced it to 48 cans in the fridge and it won’t even stay cold. This took a few days to figure out our new fridge sucks. Lowe’s only offers a 48 hour appliance return per their policy.
