Doesn't suck, does it?
Doesn't have adequate suction and doesn't extend enough for 9ft ceiling to do anything significant. And how is that 48 industry standard for major appliances is even viable?! This is not major given the price I paid but still stings/stinks. I should've listen to one of the reviews that said that the math doesn't add - so if you have 9 ft ceilings - walk away. Then again I ordered this few months out but until we had our project completed I had to push out the delivery date few times. Long story...

Great for the price
We needed a vent hood that would fit under the existing wood frame and this worked perfectly. Runs well enough on the first speed (fairly silent), which will generally be all you’d need for basic cooking; if you use high heats the other two speeds are really loud but the hood honestly works very well. It’s easy to clean (not dishwasher safe but the filters comes on and off easily— gently scrub with a soft sponge but make sure you drain all the water before putting back). This hood looks really nice in our newly renovated kitchen. The hood itself was easy to install with a second person after installing and positioning prerequisite electric and ducting. It works really well! It pulls the fumes from our gas range efficiently and steam from large pots of boiling water. The traps are really easy to clean by hand, but the dishwasher works just as well. Will not fit a 9 foot ceiling!
My installer tried this yesterday and the math doesn't add up if you want this to go all the way to the ceiling. cooking surface 36" + max height from cooktop for vent hood 31.5"+ max height of unit 37.6". Leaves you 3" short and actually more. The stated expandable to 37.6" is the max and it is flimsy. Really disappointed as it seems to good vent,
Amazing Range Hood
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! Bought a fixer upper and decided to have a ducted range hood that vented outside after dealing with re-circulated microwave air in my old home. I went with the Empava 30 inch 400 CFM Convertible wall mount range. It is top of the line and from what I've been told from chef friends- very much a commercial level range hood. It sucks out all smells when cooking (bacon, all fried foods, or even burnt popcorn!). Beyond happy with this purchase and you will be happy too!
I bought this to replace an old, noisy hood. I did a lot of research before settling on this one. This stainless steel hood is a nice upgrade to our kitchen. This one is 100 CFM more than the specs recommended, but that seems to have been a good decision. We haven't had to crank it up to 2 or 3 to get it to ventilate adequately. The higher speeds are noisier but have not been necessary so far. The lights are also a nice plus. Bottom line - my wife loves it! THAT alone makes this a 5 star.

I like how stylish this range hood is. Very easy to mount and it does what is supposed to do. I really like the touch that gave to my kitchen. After all my research I was impressed for the price and good quality I received, others were similar but didn’t had the power like this one did. Very happy with it.

Beautiful appearance
We recieved this item in a very reasonable time period. It looks sleek and modern, and very much what I expected. It seems quite high quality. I purchased it after viewing the high reviews it got compared to some of the other choices available. We have not yet installed it yet as we are waiting on cabinets from Lowe’s that are still on order. I have no doubt the range hood will be the usual quality we are used to experiencing from Lowe’s and anticipate no problems!

Good but has issues
It's a good looking vent hood. The lights are nice and it is a nice style. The fan makes lots of noise but doesn't pull as well as I'd hoped. The protective film on this product was the worst! It took HOURS!!! to pull it off in one inch segments as it wouldn't come off.
