I bought the Empava under the cabinet range hood for a kitchen remodel and couldn’t be more than pleased. It’s very sturdy and well made. Very beautiful! Dual fans make it a powerful exhaust fan! It’s a little bit noisy but like I mentioned, “dual fans”. The lighting is definitely sufficient. Decent fan. Difficult to install. Bad lights
You will need 2 people and cabinet jacks to install this product. It is quite heavy and awkward to handle. The screws that come with it for under-cabinet mounting are too small for the job and we had to upgrade them to something larger. We ended up drilling new holes to add more screws for support. The lights are VERY dim - and only useful as a night-light. Completely inadequate for lighting the cook surface. We don't find it to be any more noisy than any other fan. Commercial exhaust power and design for home!
LOUD but VERY effective. Install a little difficult unless you have a 8" hole to the exterior already. We had to drill through brick but it was because of a redesigned kitchen. Love the commercial reusable filters. Light's PLENTY bright too!. Pay attention to the height of this, was bigger than I realized which for us was OK since our upper cabinet was designed shorter to raise the height between the cooktop and fan which put the hood. It's 10 inches in height!

For the price, you're getting a lot of hood vent with this product. This thing is a heavy beast with its two fans and pulls a LOT of air at its high speed. Was not able to find any other brand that listed this level of CFM for this kind of price. Makes you think they would be cutting corners elsewhere but there is no indication of that considering the longer warranty period and the fact that it has two separate fan units (Squirrel cage style). Amazing -- drastically improved our kitchen
This range hood has made such an amazing difference in our kitchen we could not be happier. We had a very ineffective microwave with a vent built in, and we could see the steam and grease of everything we cooked blowing up in front of it and dissipate in the kitchen (and stick to the front of our microwave) instead of being sucked in. We ordered this range hood due to its high CFM capability. We do a lot of cooking at home, creating quite a bit of steam and cooking smells. The Empava Range Hood takes care of all of it.
