Good, but could be better

I've used the mower twice at each of two properties. The mower's deck size is misleading because I have to overlap each path by at least three inches. There are also sporadically missed clumps of grass. It would also be nice if there was a clasp of some kind to lock the handle in-place rather than having to have a secure grip on it, because a lot of times, the slightest release on the grip stops the machine and you have to restart it. Battery is horrible!! Charges when it wants to!!

Their battery and charger gives me a hard time!! The battery compartment is not vacuum tight. Dust gets in there. The bottom deck has weird crevices and very hard to clean. The top grey part gets soooo dirty so fast. Impossible to clean!!! It stops too many times on tall grass. The blade gets too dirty!!! The handle is not adjustable for short people like a normal handle. The battery works a VERY short time and takes forever to charge. They miss-advertised: the battery is NOT enough for 1/2 acre...

Nice not to need non-oxygenated gas any more

I cuts my lawn better than my old gas mower BUT my gas mower had a feature where you could control the speed continuously; this mower only goes at the constant speed you set. Works well for straight lines but not at all for going around curves. You need to essentially push it around curves to prevent it from taking off like a rodeo bucking bronco. This mower is DANGEROUS

It is impossible to maneuver this mower without using the self-propelled functions, which has caused me to run into trees, shrubs, and ditches. The self-propelled function is not responsive to normal expectations for movement. It is slow to engage and way too slow to disengage. I have NEVER used this mower without coming away bleeding from collisions with vegetation. Terrible cut!

This has to be the worst lawnmower purchase I've ever made. It scalps the yard in one direction and barely cuts it in the opposite direction. Cuts so uneven, it makes the yard look terrible. Cuts out frequently when using the bagger. Highly recommend going with something else. Apparently EGO only allows you to review on their website within the first 30 days. When I went in to review, it said the timeframe to review had expired. Like I would know if it's any good within 30 days.

Uneven cutting

I have been using this mower since the end of May. I am finding in the mulching mode I have to make repeated overlapping cuts to get an even cut. The mower is easy to using and the battery life is good for several mowings. Found out from a friend that one his batteries failed after several years and according to EGO the batteries need to be kept in a climate controlled environment. Too much heat or cold degrades them. Would have been nice to that pre purchase!

Upgraded mower

I had a 7 year old Ego mower and decided it was time to upgrade. The bagging blade on this mower is amazing! Even cut, maximum use of the bag, nothing left on the lawn when I want it bagged. Extra battery was the key to my decision, both 6 aH batteries, therefore they could be used in other tools that require two batteries. This was a deal I was waiting for.

Exceeded my Expectations

First battery powered mower, and was very skeptical of battery life and grass cutting performance. This mower successfully cut my front & back yard, total of about 3/4 acres on a single fully charged 7.5Ah battery with 2 charge bars left to spare. Propel torque was great and pace was better than my old gas mower. Very pleased with my purchase. I also purchased an extra battery but didn't really need it.

Good when it works

I bought this lawnmower on July 4, 2025. Within a year it started malfunctioning. It just shuts off while mowing. I have to start the mower several times just to get through mowing my lawn. Now it's in the shop and I am without a mower for the next 3-4 weeks. I should have kept my gas mower. It was much more reliable than this one.

Lasted 1 season

At first, the mower worked great! But it only lasted for 1 year and now the blades won't engage. It can still propel forward though. So now, I have the fun task of finding someone that can service it AND it has to be under warranty or they wont touch. I spent $600 for a piece of sh!+! essentially.
