What Customers Are Saying
The Nexus Escape 150W Power Inverter is a versatile power solution that allows users to utilize their EGO batteries for a variety of applications beyond lawn and garden tools. Many customers praise its compact size, ease of use, and ability to power small electronics and devices during power outages or outdoor activities. The inverter is particularly useful for charging phones, laptops, and other USB-powered devices, as well as running small lamps, fans, and radios. However, some customers have found it struggles to power larger or more power-hungry devices, and there are reports of compatibility issues with certain electronics due to the modified sine wave output.

I just bought this today specifically because it had connectivity only to get it home and find out that feature has been disabled for quite some time even though it's still advertised on the box. This is going to be used in a remote location and being able to remotely monitor it is critical. Pretty much useless now. I own a lot of other EGO power tools and batteries and I love them all but I'm extremely disappointed about this bait and switch.

Good for the basics
So far it has worked nicely to power my laptop for about 3 to 4 hours as well as charge my cell phone at the same time . So that's nice . It ran my TV as well but there was an annoying buzzing coming from the set . I reached out to ego and they said I should check the voltage of the TV to see if it was within the 150 w parameters. I need to do that though I did try to plug in a mini waffle iron but that triggered the inverter on button to flash red so that was a fail. At anyrate check to see w...

Small and Powerful
I like that this can be charged on my existing EGO charger that I use for my mower. I bought this to use for small household electronics if we lose power.

Limited Power, great for some small electronics
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was unable to power my Samsung tablet with this, yet it worked with 2 of my laptops. This inverter is pretty limited, but all in all the few things I would use it for lasted a long time. I say it's limited because even though it powered my laptop, it did not power up my tablet via the tablet's ac adapter. Bigger batteries only increase runtime, not power output. The items I could not power with my 2.5ah battery also did not work with a ...

Expands emergency power with your existing battery
Ex]ands my use of battery for my EGO lawnmower. Now i can use it to charge cell phones, laptops, and smart watch. And it allows me to further expand my stored power to have available in cases of emergency. It doesn't have indicator of how full/empty the battery is. That would be helpful added feature.
This is an explanation to some other reviews
People seem to not understand how inverters work. There are 3 types, pure sine, modified sine and square wave. Pure sine is what you receive from the power company. Modified sine is a digital version of that sine wave so it is stepped. Square wave is just that a very crude 60 hertz on off signal. This inverter uses square wave. A 120v signal is 60 hertz over and 60 hertz under the base line of 0 volts. This square wave is why people using a meter are seeing voltage less than 120v. You can not me...
Emergency Power on the Go!!!!
As an owner of EGO tools for the last two years, I have amassed quite a bit of batteries. Like most owners, I have all these batteries sitting on the shelf FULL OF POWER and not getting utilized - other than the weekly yard work. Finally, EGO heard our requests for an inverter that can utilize all these batteries .... After purchasing the inverter, I decided to put this new tool to the test by charging my laptop computer. It took about 2.5 hours to get my laptop from 30% to 100% full cha...

Worked like a charm on island camping weekend.
I wasn't going to leave a review, but some of these negative ones seem inaccurate or anomalous. I bought this to take camping on Kelly's Island in Lake Erie. We went with two other families and our campsite had no hookups. I took my dad's truck and the USB jack was not working for some reason. I used this the whole weekend on one battery. When I drove to town to try for cell reception I carried it around with me to a bar to wait for my phone to turn back on. Both other families used it for the...

Misleading Output (Voltage)
As others have noted, it's the voltage many of us feel are misleading about the product. I agree people complaining about trying to power a 1500 watt item should be able to read a clear description of 150 watts on box/product/marketing and those complaints aren't justified. Many of us tried to do our research and power items that are 120v and less than 150 watts and the product doesn't work... apparently because it's a 120v outlet design, but not 120v output (only 70-90 and some saying consist...

Very Handy Device!
I've been waiting for a way to use the power stored in my many Ego batteries for a LONG time, and here it is! Besides the obvious convenience during power outages, I was mainly excited to use this on a jobsite to charge smaller 18V and 12V power tool batteries. Findings: 1. Milwaukee M12 battery charger - works great. 2. Makita 18V slow charger (DC18SD) - plugging the charger in shuts the Nexus down. Pressing the power button 2-3X gets the charger to turn on and will then charge a battery...
