Finally a cordless with the power of corded

The convenience of cordless is great and it does have the power of my old corded dremel. I really love it. I think maybe the one downside is that the body is larger so it is a little harder to grip but not having the cord in the way does make it easier to rotate it around into whatever angle you need.

in the field i work in this is great tool and i have used it cutting through plastic and removing screw heads that could not have been removed due to the nature of thier location, and it worked fast i am positive that this got it done

I received this as a Christmas gift. Charged battery, turned on, worked as it should just by running it by itself. Then i used it to cut some 6 inch circles in drywall, and it started to make funny noises, locked up on me. Battery was still charged. I got to looking, and the bushing/bearing on the end of the shaft next to the collet, went out, eating into the housing. The shaft/Collet, was super hot. Taking back to get refund.

Had to return after just 4 days of use. I’m not surprised when this brand dies within 6 months, but this is ridiculous. Squealed and the speed would rise and fall on its own. Really expect better for $150.00. If anyone else would manufacture a rotary tool with the same speed I’d never buy another Dremel.

WOW! MUCH Better Than I Expected

This was purchased as a gift for my father-in-law at a very reasonable price. Was exactly what he was looking for. He plans to use it to create small, wooden crafts.

I bought this to go along with a carbide bit to fix the door latch on a few doors in the house and it worked super well. I'd highly recommend this model to anyone. I should have bought it sooner!

8250 Dremel

As a locksmith I use a Dremel a lot ! Started with the smaller one but after a couple of years I bought the 8250 for better power and battery life it was 12 volt 1.5 amp then used for 15 years and 3 batteries. Sadly if leaf it on a job and when I returned it was go Elsewhere! Bought a new one it is 12 volt 3 amp and wow last much longer and seems to have o More power! Great tool, gives as much power as needed, where needed. Uses Robert Bosch/Dremel Inc 12v batteries and I already have those so this is a great find. I'd avoid using my other rotary tools just because of the cord... and I already ran in to an unexpected project where this came in handy to avoid damaging surrounding metal while cutting thru a wallered-out nut.

I haven't actually used this to do work yet (I bought it for a project coming up soon), but I did charge the battery and "test" it. I like the fact that it has adjustable speeds (the cheaper models don't), and I like the battery capacity lights. I like the fact that the battery life is supposed to be twice that of other models. I like the fact that it is very smooth, even when running at high speeds. I think I'm going to be very satisfied with this product.
